Stevens' Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for Sale of the Estate of William Stevens deceased, for Payment of the Mortgage thereupon, and applying the Overplus for the Benefit of his Sons who are Infants."
ORDERED, That the Consideration of the abovesaid Bill shall be committed to the Lords following; (videlicet,)
Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet Tomorrow, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.
Messages from H. C. to return Edwards Bill, and the Bill to explain the Act for Relief of poor Prisoners.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Robert Cotton and others:
To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Thomas Edwards to sell Part of his Estate, for the Payment of Debts; and to restrain and disable him to commit Waste upon the Residue of the said Estate;" to which they have agreed, without any Amendment.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Bowyer and others:
Who returned the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the explaining and for the more effectual Execution of a former Act for Relief of poor Prisoners;" to which the Lords had made Amendments, whereunto they had agreed, with an Amendment.
Which was read Twice, and agreed to by this House.
Braziers against the Bill for Exportation of Iron.
Whereas this Day was appointed for hearing Counsel for and against the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Exportation of Iron, Copper, and Bell-metal:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Parties shall be heard, by their Counsel, for and against the said Bill, Tomorrow, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.
Orphans and other Creditors of London, for Relief of, Bill.
The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee, upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Relief of the Orphans and other Creditors of the City of London."
And, after some Time spent therein, and Counsel heard to some Parts thereof, the House was resumed.
And the Lord Bishop of Salisbury reported, "That the Committee had made some Progress in the Bill; and desire another Time may be appointed, to proceed thereon."
ORDERED, That the House shall be put into a Committee, to proceed upon the said Bill, To-morrow.
Warner versus North and Bromley College.
Whereas To-morrow is appointed for hearing of the Cause wherein Lee Warner is Appellant, and William North on Behalf of the Widows of Bromley Colledge is Respondent:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Wednesday the Eight and Twentieth Day of this Instant March, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.
