Frere's Bill.

Hodie 1a vice est Billa, intituled, "An Act for Sale of Part of the Estate of Henry Frere, an Insant, to raise Monies for inning and recovering other Parts thereof now under Water, and for Payment of Debts charged thereon."

Marshall versus Paxton, in Error.

Upon reading the Petition of Richard Marshall Esquire, and Barrington Eaton Merchant; shewing, "That they have obtained a Judgement in Ejectment, in the Name of Nicholas Paxton, against Gilbert Marshall, which is now depending in this House; and praying a short Day for hearing the Errors argued thereupon:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Errors argued upon the said Writ of Error, on Friday the Six and Twentieth Day of this Instant January, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Grove versus Mathew & al.

Upon reading the Petition of William Randall, the Respondents Clerk in Chancery, to the Petition of Appeal of Huttost Grove, praying further Time for answering thereunto:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Respondents Jane Mathew and others have hereby Time allowed them for answering to the said Appeal, until Monday the Nine and Twentieth Day of this Instant January, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Whitehall's Bill.

The Lord Viscount Weymouth reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable John Whitehall to charge certain Lands with the Sum of Fifteen Hundred Pounds, towards Portions for his Younger Children," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.

Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

L. Baltimore versus Blackistone and Moore:

Upon reading the Petition of Thomas Moore Gentlemen; shewing, "That he lives in the City of Yorke, and did there receive Notice of the Order of this House of the Eleventh Instant, for his answering to the Lord Baltemore's Petition of Appeal; and praying some Time further may be allowed him for answering thereunto, he being come to London for that Purpose:"

Moore, Time allowed for answering.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Thomas Moore hath hereby Time allowed him for answering to the said Appeal, until Friday the Six and Twentieth Day of this Instant January.

Poors Box, Lords who come after Prayers, to pay to.

The House not being duly attended by the Lords, as it ought to be:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Order in the Roll of Standing Orders of this House shall be put in Execution, That every Lord that comes after Prayers, if he be a Baron or Bishop, is to pay One Shilling; and if he be of any Degree above, Two Shillings, for his Absence: And it is further ORDERED, That the Clerks do ask for the said Money of them, and give this House an Account of such Lords as refuse to pay the same.

Speaker to stop Proceedings while Lords are out of their Places.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lord upon the Woolsack shall stop all Proceedings in this House, in case any Lord or Lords shall either be at the Fire-side, or sitting on the Woolsacks, or at the End of the Clerk's Table (except to make a Report); and shall call to such Lord or Lords by Name, and require him or them to go to his or their Place or Places.

Adjourn.
