Upon reading the Petition of Joseph Cagnoni, Angelo Corticelly, Joseph Come, and Anthonio Francis Magnoni, Italian Merchants; praying, "That they may be heard, before the passing of the Bill, intituled, An Act for the Importation of fine Italian, Sicilian, and Naples Thrown Silk:"

Grove versus Mathew.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Huttoft Grove, from a Decree made the Twentieth of February last, in the High Court of Chancery, wherein Jane Mathew and others were Plaintiffs, and the Petitioner Defendant; and praying "the Reversal of the said Decree; and that Jane Mathew Widow, Henry Lunbray, William Hall, John Fulks, Thomas Watson, Anne Clisby, Thomas White, Susan Gurney, and Jane Saunders, may answer thereunto:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Jane Mathew and the said other Respondents may have a Copy of the said Petition; and do and they are hereby required to put in their Answer or respective Answers thereunto, in Writing, on Saturday the Twentieth Day of this Instant January, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Address for Information, when Intelligence of the Sailing of the Brest Fleet was sent to the Admirals.

After the House had spent some Time in Debate, why the Intelligence of The French Fleet's being out was not sent to the Admirals, the following Address was made:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Right Honourable the Earl of Rochester and the Lord Godolphin do humbly address to His Majesty, from this House, "That He will please to give Leave to the Lords of the Council (who are Members of this House) that they may give this House an Account when the Intelligence of the French Fleet's sailing out of Brest was sent to the Admirals of the Fleet."

Motion for Capt. Rutter to be prosecuted for Perjury:

It being moved, "That Mr. Attorney General be ordered to prosecute Captain Rutter for Perjury:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Debate thereof shall be adjourned until To-morrow, at Twelve of the Clock; and that Captain Rutter and his Witnesses may then attend, if they think fit.

Priestman to attend;

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Captain Priestman, One of the Commissioners for executing the Office of Lord High Admiral of Engl'd, do attend this House To-morrow, at Twelve of the Clock, with the Order the Commissioners of the Admiralty received from Her Majesty, upon which they grounded their Order to the Admirals of the Nineteenth of May last.

and the Admirals.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Admirals who commanded the Fleet the last Summer do attend this House To-morrow, at Twelve of the Clock.
