Simmons versus Grant & Ux.

Upon reading the Petition of Thomas Grant and Bridget his Wife, Respondents to the Petition and Appeal of Elizabeth Simmons, Executrix of Sir Ralph Bovey Baronet; shewing, "That the Appeal is brought only for Delay, and praying a Day for hearing thereof:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Thursday the Fourteenth Day of this Instant December, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and that the Service of this Order upon the Appellant's Solicitor shall be good Service, in order thereunto.

Robson versus Bayly.

Upon reading the Petition of Anne Robson Respondent, to the Petition of Sarah Bayly; praying, "That the Time for hearing of their Cause may be put off for some few Days:"

Skinner versus E. India Company.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Thomas Skinner Merchant, against the Governor and Company of Merchants of London trading to The East Indies, and against Sir Josiah Child, Sir John Moore, Sir Benjamin Bathurst, Sir Jeremiah Sambrooke, Sir Humphry Edwin, Sir Thomas Davall, and Robert Blackborne, Members of the said Company, Respondents, from a Dismission of the Appellant's Bill, exhibited in the Court of Exchequer against the Respondents, the Nineteenth Day of June, One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-three:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lords following shall be a Committee, to consider of this Petition, and report their Opinion to this House.

Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet on Monday next, at Nine of the Clock, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers, and to adjourn as they please.

Brandy &c. Bill, to repeal Acts which prohibit the Importation of, except from France.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee, upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for repealing such Parts of several former Acts as prevent or prohibit the Importation of Foreign Brandy, Aqua Vitæ, and other Spirits, and Bacon, except from France."

And, after some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Bishop of Salisbury reported, "That the Committee had passed the said Bill, without any Amendment."

To which the House agreed; and ORDERED, That the same be read the Third Time on Saturday next.

Bridgeman, Dutchess of Graston's Trustee, versus Justices of the King's Bench:

Upon reading another Answer of William Dolben, Wm. Gregory, and Gyles Eyre Knights, Justices of Their Majesties Court of King's Bench (Leave being given to withdraw their former Answer), to the Petition of the Dutchess of Graston and William Bridgeman; the following Orders were made:

"It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear Counsel, upon the said Petition and Answer, on Friday the Fifteenth Day of this Instant December, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon."

Bridgeman versus Holt & al. in Error.

"Whereas there was a Writ of Error brought into this House the Four and Twentieth Day of November last, wherein William Bridgeman is Plaintiff, and Rowland Holt and others Defendants, on which, by the Rules of this House, Errors ought to be assigned within Eight Days after the bringing in thereof: It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Plaintiff in the said Writ of Error hath hereby Time given him to assign his Errors thereupon, until Monday the Eighteenth Day of this Instant December, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon."
