L. Shannon's Bill.

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for settling the Estate of Francis Boyle, Lord Viscount Shannon in the Kingdom of Ireland."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Mr. Meredith:

To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Lomax versus Lomax.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Joshua Lomax Esquire, against a Decree made in Chancery, on the Nine and Twentieth Day of June last, and another Decree made the Sixth of February Instant, upon a Bill of Review brought by the Petitioner, whereby the former Decree was affirmed; which former Decree was made in a Cause there depending, between Thomas Lomax Esquire and Mary his Wife Complainants, and the Petitioner and others Defendants; and praying the Reversal of the said Decree:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Thomas Lomax and Mary his Wife may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and be, and is hereby, required to put in his Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Monday the Thirteenth Day of this Instant February, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Proceedings to go on in Courts below, notwithstanding Appeals made after this Day.

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That if any Appeal shall be brought into this House after this Day, upon any Decree or Order of the Courts of Chancery or Exchequer, made there before the First Day of this Term, and not here heard and determined before the End of this Sessions of Parliament, the Proceedings in the said Courts shall go on, notwithstanding their depending in this House.

Bayntun's Bill.

The Lord Bishop of Peterborough reported the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the more speedy and effectual Execution of the Trust created by the Will of Henry Bayntun Esquire deceased, and for raising a Portion for his Daughter," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.

Which were read Twice, and agreed to.

Then, Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the more speedy and effectual Execution of the Trust created by the Will of Henry Bayntun Esquire deceased, and for raising a Portion for his Daughter;" and sent as above to the House of Commons, and their Concurrence desired to the Amendments.

Danby's Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the settling a Jointure on the Wife of Anthony Danby Esquire, and for making Provision for his Brother and Younger Children, and for Payment of his Debts."

ORDERED, That the Consideration hereof be committed to the Lords following:

Their Lordships, or any Three of them; to meet To-morrow, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.

Sir Thomas Wroth's Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable Sir Thomas Wroth Baronet to make a Jointure and Settlement upon his Marriage, and to make a Provision for his Sister, notwithstanding his being under the Age of One and Twenty Years."

ORDERED, That the Consideration hereof be committed to the Lords following:

Their Lordships, or any Three of them; to meet on Friday next, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.

Newton versus Ballett.

Upon reading the Petition of James Newton, against John Ballet and Mary his Wife; desiring the Explanation of the Judgement of this House, concerning the Payment of One Hundred Guineas:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear One Counsel on either Side, as to the Point of One Hundred Guineas, on Saturday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Alnage Duty, for transferring to the Custom-house, Bill.

Upon reading the Petition of Frances Dutchess Dowager of Richmond and Lenox, and others, Farmers of the ancient Duties of Subsidy and Alnage on Woollen Manufactures, under the said Dutchess and her Trustees; praying, "That they may be heard, by their Counsel, at the Bar, before the Second Reading of the Bill, intituled, An Act for transferring the collecting the Duty of Alnage to the Custom-house, and for giving a Recompense to the Crown for the same:"

Dutchess of Richmond & al. to be heard against it.

Quominus and Outlawries, Relief against, Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the Relief of the Subject against vexatious Arrests upon Outlawries and Writs of Quo minus."

ORDERED, That this Bill shall be read the Second Time on Friday next; and that some of the Judges do then attend.

Sir Simon Leach versus Thompson.

Whereas this Day was appointed for hearing Counsel, upon the Petition of Sir Symon Leach, as also Counsel for Charles Leach:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Counsel on both Sides shall be heard To-morrow, at Eleven of the Clock; and One Judge of each Court to attend.
