Warden of The Fleet, Office of, Bill for selling, to pay Debts.
The Earl of Rochester reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Sale of such Interest as Thomas Bromball, an Insant, hath in the Office of the Warden of The Fleete, and in Thirteen Houses adjoining, and in an Office of the Custody and Keeping of the Palace at Westm'r, for the more effectual Payment of Debts," with several Amendments.
Which were Twice read, and agreed to.
Leighton's Petition against it dismissed.
Upon reading the Petition of Colonel Baldwin Leighton; praying to be heard before the passing of the abovementioned Bill:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House.
ORDERED, That the said Bill be engrossed, with the said Amendments.
E. Manchester versus L. Brooke.
The Earl of Stamford reported from the Lords Committees for Privileges, in the Case referred to them, upon the Petition of the Earl of Manchester, and the Answer of the Lord Brooke put in thereunto, "That the Lord Brooke is not so absolutely a Trustee, but that he hath a Claim of an Interest, disputable at Law, there to be determined; in which Case, their Lordships are of Opinion, he ought to have Privilege."
To which the House agreed.
Hinde's Bill.
The Lord Bishop of Oxford reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the vesting a Messuage and Lands in Trustees, to be sold, for Payment of the Debts of Abraham Hinde deceased," with some Amendments.
Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.
Osbaston's Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the Sale of certain Manors, Messuages, Lands, and Hereditaments, late the Estate of Francis Osbaston Esquire, deceased, for the Payment of his Debts and Legacies, and raising Ten Thousand Pounds for the Portion of Mary Osbaston his Daughter, chargeable upon the said Estate."
ORDERED, That the Consideration of this Bill be committed to the Lords following:
Their Lordships, or any Three of them; to meet on Wednesday next, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.
Bangor House Bill.
The Earl of Rochester reported the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Humphry Lord Bishop of Bangor to make a Lease of Bangor House, with the Appurtenances, in the Parish of St. Andrew's Holbourne, London, for a competent Term of Years, in order to the new building and improving the Rent thereof, for the Benefit of his Successors," as fit to pass, without any Amendment.
It is ORDERED, That the said Bill shall be engrossed.
Sir J. Williams's Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable Sir John Williams, of Langibby Castle, in the County of Monmouth, Baronet, to sell the Manors of Ewyas, Lacy, Waterston, and (fn. 1) Frescaillan, and other Lands, in the County of Hereford, and the Manor of Carwent and other Lands in the County of Monmouth, for Payment of Debts."
ORDERED, That the Consideration hereof shall be referred to the same Committee to whom Osbaston's Bill is committed.
Macclesfield versus Macclesfield.
Upon reading the Petition of Ralph Macclesfeild; praying a Day may be appointed for hearing of his Cause depending in this House, to which Mary and Peter Macclesfeild are Respondents:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Tuesday the Ninth Day of February next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.
L. Stawell's Bill.
Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for Payment of the Debts of John Lord Stawell, lately deceased."
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That all Persons concerned in the above-mentioned Bill shall have Notice thereof; and may be heard, by their Counsel, before the Second Reading of the Bill, if they think fit; which shall be read the Second Time on Saturday the Fourth Day of February next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.
L. Shannon's Bill.

Report concerning Tickets and Places for L. Mohun's Trial in Westm. Hall:
The Earl of Stamford reported from the Committee, concerning the Proceedings upon the Trial in Westminster Hall, as followeth:
"That the Box in Westminster Hall be reserved for Foreign Ministers.
"That the Benches, (videlicet,) Six on the one Side, and Five on the other Side, be reserved wholly for the Lords.
"That there be one Sort of Tickets for those Eleven Benches; and that no one be admitted on them without One of those Tickets.
"That none but Lords shall have those Tickets; and no Lord shall have more than Eight.
"That there be another Sort of Tickets for the other Benches, to be at the Lord Great Chamberlain's own Disposal."
To which the House agreed, and ordered it accordingly.
L. Mohun to have Tickets:
ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Charles Lord Mohun shall have Eight Tickets allowed him, for Places at his Trial in Westminster Hall.
Order for keeping the Streets clear, on the Day of Trial:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Steward of Westminster, his Deputy and Deputies, and Constables, and other Officers, do take special Care, and give strict Orders, that no Carts nor Drays be suffered to pass to or fro in the Streets, on Tuesday the One and Thirtieth Day of this Instant January, between Charing Cross and The Old Palace Yard, Westminster, between the Hours of Six of the Clock in the Morning and Nine of the Clock at Night of the same Day; and hereof special Care is to be taken, as the contrary will be answered to this House.
To the Bailiff of Westminster, and to all Justices of the Peace, Constables, and other Officers whom it doth concern.

Bayly versus Robson.
Upon hearing Counsel this Day, at the Bar, upon the Petition and Appeal of Sarah Bayly, Widow and Executrix of Edward Bayly her Husband, deceased, Plaintiff, in the Court of Chancery, against Anne Robson Widow, Mary Robson, Anne and Katherine Robson, Infants, by the said Anne the Widow, their Mother and Guardian, and Thomas Paske, William Bryan, and others, Defendants in cross Causes; as also upon the Answer of the said Anne Robson Widow, and others, put in thereunto:
After due Consideration had of what was offered by Counsel on either Side thereupon, it is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That it shall be referred to a Trial at Law, upon the same Issue as before, and allowed to give the Partnership or any other Proof in Evidence at the Trial.
