Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the enabling Sir William Mannock Baronet to charge his Estate, for the raising his Younger Childrens Portions."
ORDERED, That the Consideration of the said Bill shall be committed to the Lords following:
Their Lordships, or any Three of them; to meet To-morrow, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.
Sir R. Smith's Bill.

Smith versus Duffeild.
Upon hearing Connsel this Day, at the Bar, upon the Petition and Appeal of Robert Smith Gentleman and Mary his Wife, and Sarah Duffeild (which said Mary and Sarah are the Sisters and Coheirs of Andrew Duffeild deceased); complaining of a Decree made in the Court of Chancery, the Five and Twentieth Day of October last, on the Behalf of Francis Duffeild, by which the Petitioners are decreed to deliver up a Settlement made on the Marriage of the Petitioners Father and Mother, of Lands conveyed, for securing to them Fifteen Hundred Pounds apiece for their Portions; as also upon the Answer of Francis Duffeild put in thereunto:
After due Consideration had of what was offered by Counsel on either Side, it is ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Dereee complained of in the Petition and Appeal of the said Robert Smith Gentleman and Mary his Wife, and Sarah Duffeild, made the said Five and Twentieth Day of October last, on the Behalf of the said Francis Duffeild, shall be, and is hereby, reversed.
Conference to deliver Papers brought in by the E. of Nottingham.
The House being informed, "That the Commons were come to the Conference;" the Lords following were named Managers:
The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and the Lords went to the Conference.
Which being ended, the House was resumed.

And the Lord President reported, "That they had attended at the Conference as commanded, and delivered the Papers.
House to sit at Nine, to hear Causes.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House shall sit at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon every Day, to hear Causes; and that the Counsel do then attend.
Indemnity Bill, for Persons who acted in Their Majesties Service.
The House being this Day moved, "That a Day may be appointed, for the House to be put into a Committee, to proceed upon the Bill, intituled, An Act for preventing Suits against such as acted for Their Majesties Service, in Defence of the Kingdom:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the House shall be put into a Committee, to proceed thereon, To-morrow, at Twelve of the Clock.
Brock versus Cutler.
The House being this Day moved, "That a Day may be appointed for hearing of the Cause wherein Joseph Brock is Appellant, and Sarah Cutler Respondent; and that the Respondent may then produce the Writings, which, by Orders made in the Court of Chancery, she was to produce at the Hearing there:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Tuesday the Tenth Day of January next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and that the Respondent do then produce the Writings, which, by Orders made by the Court of Chancery, she was to produce at the Hearing there.
Hastings versus Ly. Churchill.
Upon reading the Petition of Caroletta Hastings, the Widow and Executrix of the late Colonel Anthony Hastings, deceased, complaining of a Decree made in the Court of Chancery, on the Sixteenth Day of December, in the Second Year of Their now Majesties Reign, on the Behalf of Dame Susanna Churchill:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Dame Susanna Churchill may have a Copy of the said Petition; and do put in her Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Tuesday the Third Day of January next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.
