Dowley versus Bagnall.

Upon reading the Petition of John Dowley; praying a Day may be appointed, for hearing of his Cause, to which George Bagnall, surviving Executor of George Bagnall deceased, is Respondent:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Monday the Nineteenth Day of this Instant December, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Davey & al. versus Courtney:

Upon reading the Perition of Dorothy Davy Widow, John Nichols the Elder, and John Nichols the Younger, Esquire; praying, "That Dame Anne Smith may be made a Respondent to their Appeal depending in this House; and that the Service of this Order upon the Respondent's Clerk in Chancery may be good Service:"

Ly. Smith made a Party.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Dame Anne Smith do put in her Answer to the Petitioners Appeal depending in this House, on Tuesday the Thirteenth Day of this Instant December, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and that the Service of this Order upon the Respondent's Clerk in Chancery shall be good Service, in order thereunto.

Slaughter to be attached, for counterfeiting the E. of Scarborough's Protection.

The House being informed, by the Earl of Scarborough, "That John Slaughter, of Rochester, Plumber, hath counterfeited his Lordship's Protection;" and upon reading an Affidavit, testifying the same:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod attending this House, his Deputy or Deputies, do forthwith attach the Body of the said John Slaughter, and bring him in safe Custody to the Bar of this House, to answer for his Offence; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.

To Sir Thomas Duppa, Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod attending this House, his Deputy or Deputies, and to all Mayors, Sheriffs, Bailiffs, Constables, and all other Their Majesties Officers whom it may concern, to be aiding and assisting in the Execution hereof.

Conyngham versus Sir R. Creighton, alias Murray.

Upon hearing Counsel this Day, upon the Petition of Lieutenant Colonel Conyngham, and the Answer of Sir Robert Creighton, alias Murrey, put in thereunto:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will proceed to hear Counsel thereupon on Friday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and that all the Judges do then attend the House.

E. Rutland excused.

This Day the Earl of Rutland's Two Servants, Edmond Holles and George Hansdell, being sworn, attested, his Lordship was not able to attend the House, being very sick."

And thereupon he was excused.

Papers from Secretary of State.

This Day the Earl of Nottingham brought in the Papers, by His Majesty's Command, pursuant to the Address of this House to His Majesty.

ORDERED, That the Papers shall be referred to the Committee of the whole House.

Advice to His Majesty.

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee, upon giving Advice to His Majesty.

And, after some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Bridgewater reported, "That the Committee had read the Papers; and desire another Day may be appointed to proceed therein."

Upon Report from the Lords Committees of the whole House appointed to consider of Advice to be given to His Majesty:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, Than the House shall be put into a Committee again To-morrow, at Eleven of the Clock, to proceed therein, and to consider of the Papers brought in this Day (by His Majesty's Command) by the Earl of Nottingham; and no other Business to intervene.

Smith & al. versus Duffield.

Whereas Thursday next was appointed for hearing of the Cause wherein Robert Smith and others are Appellants, and Francis Duffeild Esquire Respondent:

It is this Day ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Tuesday the Twentieth Day of this Instant December, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Mollyneaux's Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the rectifying a Mistake in a certain Act of this present Parliament, passed in the Year One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-one, intituled, An Act to vest certain Lands of William Mollyneaux Gentleman in Trustees, for raising the Sum of Two Thousand Pounds, for paying the Portions to his Younger Brother and Sisters, pursuant to a Decree in the Court of Chancery."
