Lawyers to take the Oaths, Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act requiring the Practisers of the Law to take the Oaths, and subscribe the Declaration, therein mentioned."
ORDERED, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, presently.
Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee thereupon.
After some Time, the House was resumed.
And the Earl of Manchester reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."
Juries, for better regulating, Bill.
The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Ease of Jurors, and better regulating of Juries."
After some Time, the House was resumed.
And the Earl of Manchester reported, "That the Committee had made some Progress in the Bill; and desire another Time may be appointed, for them to proceed therein."
ORDERED, That the House shall be put into a Committee again, to proceed on the said Bill, on Thursday next, at Twelve of the Clock.
Charitable Gifts, &c. to encourage, Bill.
Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the Encouragement of Charitable Gifts and Dispositions."
Wool, to prevent the Exportation of, &c. Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the more effectual preventing the Exportation of Wool, and for encouraging the Importation thereof from Ireland,"
ORDERED, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Monday next, at Twelve of the Clock; and has Mr. Randelph do then attend.
Conference on Privateers Bill.
The Commons being come to the Conference; the Lords following were named Managers thereof; (videlicet),
Then the Lords went to the Conference.
Which being ended, the House was resumed.
Report of its.
And the Lord Privy Seal reported, "That they had attended the Conference; and had received the Commons Reasons for their disagreeing to some of the Lords Amendments."
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Report made this Day, of the Conference had with the House of Commons, upon the Amendments to the Bill, intituled, "An Act for continuing the Acts for prohibiting all Trade and Commerce with France, and for the Encouragement of Privateers," shall be considered on Tuesday next, the First Business after Twelve of the Clock.
Quakers Bill.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Bill, intituled, "An Act that the solemn Affirmation and Declaration of the People called Quakers shall be accepted instead of an Oath," shall be read the Second Time on Thursday next.
Adjourn.
