PRAYERS.

Message to H. C. for Members of their House who are Commissioners of the Admiralty to attend a Committee of Lords.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Robert Legard and Sir John Hoskyns:

To acquaint them, that the Lords having appointed a Committee, to take into their Consideration several Matters relating to the Trade of this Kingdom; who have informed the House, "that they have Occasion to speak with the Commissioners of the Admiralty, upon the Matters to them referred;" the Lords do desire, that the House of Commons will give Leave to such Members of their House as are Commissioners of the Admiralty, to come to the said Committee when they shall be desired.

East India Company & al. to attend in about Powers requisite to be given to an East India Company.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the East India Company, and other Merchants trading to The East Indies, do attend this House on Thursday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, to offer what they shall think proper, in relation to the East India Trade, and such Powers as may be requisite to be given to an East India Company.

Message from H. C. to return Brooke's Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Baldwin and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting the Manor of Madeley, in the County of Salop, in Trustees, for certain Purposes therein mentioned;" to which they have agreed, without any Amendment.

Annuities to enlarge the Time for purchasing, and to continue the Duty on Low Wines, &c. Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for enlarging the Times to come in and purchase certain Annuities therein mentioned, and for continuing the Duties formerly charged on Low Wines or Spirits of the First Extraction, for carrying on the War against France."

ORDERED, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Wednesday next, at Eleven of the Clock.

That they have given Leave to such Members of their House as are Commissioners of the Admiralty, to come to the Committee. when they shall be desired.

Whereupon it is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Honourable Edward Russell Esquire, Sir John Lowther, Sir Robert Rich, Henry Priestman Esquire, and Robert Austin Esquire, Commissioners of the Admiralty, be, and are hereby, desired to come to the said Lords Committees, Tomorrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers.

Watkins & al. versus Shatterden & al.

Whereas Saturday the Eighteenth Instant is appointed to hear the Cause wherein William Watkins, John Watkins, and others, are Appellants, and Thomas Shatterden and others Respondents:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause on Saturday the Five and Twentieth Day of this Instant January, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and that the Service of this Order upon the Respondents Clerk in Chancery shall be sufficient Notice, in order thereunto.
