PRAYERS.

King present.

His Majesty, being seated on His Royal Throne, adorned with His Crown and Regal Ornaments (the Peers being in their Robes also), commanded the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod to go to the House of Commons, and let them know, "It is His Majesty's Pleasure, that they attend Him presently."

Foley, Speaker of H. C. presented.

Who being come; they presented Paul Foley Esquire to His Majesty, for their Speaker: Who made a short Speech to His Majesty.

After which, the Lord Keeper by His Majesty's Command did acquaint the House of Commons, "That His Majesty was pleased to approve of the Choice which they had made; and did allow of Mr. Foley to be their Speaker."

Bills passed.

Then His Majesty was pleased to give His Royal Assent to the Bills following; (videlicet,)

"1. An Act for supplying certain Defects in the Directions made in and by a Deed of Trust, and the last Will of George Pitt Esquire deceased, for settling his Estate."

"2. An Act for naturalizing of Bernard Cosserat, alias Mourte, and Alexander Ringli, and others."

Which was pronounced, by the Clerk of the Parliaments, in these Words; (videlicet,)

"Soit fait come il est desire."

E. of Montagu versus E. of Bath.

After hearing Counsel this Day, upon the Petition of the Earl of Montagu, whether the said Petition of Appeal is brought properly before this House; as also Counsel for the Earl of Bathe:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lord Keeper shall report what was offered thereupon, on Monday the Eighteenth Day of this Instant March, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Adjourn.
