Sir J. Maynard, for settling his Estate, Bill:

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for settling the Estate of Sir John Maynard Knight, deceased, late One of the Lords Commissioners for the Custody of the Great Seal of England."

Sir W. Rawlinson, to have Notice of it, and Judges to attend.

Upon the First Reading of which Bill, it is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Sir William Rawlinson shall have Notice thereof; and that the said Bill shall be read the Second Time on Wednesday the Seventh Day of this Instant February, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and that all Persons who shall think themselves therein concerned shall be then heard, for or against the said Bill, if they think fit; and that the Lord Chief Justice Holt and the Lord Chief Justice Treby do then attend this House.

Sir C. Barrington's Bill.

The Earl of Bridgewater reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Sir Charles Barrington Baronet to settle a Jointure on Dame Bridget his Wife, and to make Provision for their Younger Children," as fit to pass, without any Amendment.

To which the House agreed, and ordered the said Bill to be engrossed.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Sir Thomas Littleton and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act to supply the Deficiency of the Money raised by a former Act, intituled, An Act for granting to Their Majesties certain Rates and Duties of Excise, upon Beer, Ale, and other Liquors, for securing certain Recompenses and Advantages in the said Act mentioned to such Persons as shall voluntarily advance the Sum of Ten Hundred Thousand Pounds, towards carrying on the War against France;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

E. of Montagu & al. versus E. of Bath & al.

Then the House proceeded to hear Counsel farther, in the Cause of the Earl of Montagu and others Appellants, against the Earl of Bathe and others Respondents.

And, after some Time spent therein, the Counsel withdrew.

And the House agreed, to proceed to hear Counsel further therein on Monday next, at Eleven of the Clock.
