The House being this Day moved, "That a Day may be appointed for hearing the Cause wherein John Daniell is Plaintiff, and William Leigh Defendant:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Tuesday the 25th Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

E. of Suffolk versus Prices, for disturbing him in his Possession of a Mine, Privilege.

Upon reading the Petition of Edward Price and Simon Price; shewing, "That they are in Custody of the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod, for having disturbed the Right Honourable George Earl of Suffolke, in his Possession of a Royal Mine; and praying to be heard, by their Counsel, to make their Defence, and be at Liberty to attend the Committee of Elections of the House of Commons as Witnesses:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Edward Price and Symon Price, giving a competent Security to Sir Tho. Duppa Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod, in whose Custody they now are, for their rendering themselves to him again on Wednesday the 26th of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, that then they shall be at Liberty in the mean Time to attend the said Committee of the House of Commons: And it is further ORDERED, That this House will, on the said 26th Instant, hear Counsel at the Bar on their Behalfs, as also Counsel for the Earl of Suffolke and Their Majesties Farmers of the Royal Mines.

Dod & al. versus Burrowes.

Upon reading the Petition of Anne Dod Widow, Magdalen Johnson Widow, Robert Colbatch, Anne his Wife, Sarah Dod Spinster, and Prycilla Cooper Widow; praying, "That a Day may be appointed for hearing of their Case, upon their Petition depending in this House, whereunto Thomas Burrows hath put in his Answer:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament, assembled, That this House will hear Counsel on their Behalfs, as also for the said Tho. Burrows, on Thursday the 27th Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Williams versus Powell.

The House being moved, "That a Day may be appointed for hearing the Cause depending in this House, wherein John Williams Esquire is Appellant, and Hugh Powell and his Wife are Respondents:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Friday the 28th Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Lucy's Bill, to breed her a Protestant, &c.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for securing the Portion of Elizabeth Lucy, and breeding her up a Protestant; and for transferring the Trust for that Purpose."

Cooke's Bill.

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the enabling of Trustees to sell certain Lands of Richard Cooke deceased, to pay Debts, and raise a Portion for his Daughter."

Then the Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass into a Law?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

To carry down the said Bill, and to desire their Concurrence thereunto.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir William Poultney and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for paving and cleansing the Streets in the Cities of London and Westm. and Suburbs and Liberties thereof, and Out Parishes in the County of Middlesex, and in the Borough of Southwarke, and other Places within the Weekly Bills of Mortality, in the County of Surrey; and for regulating the Markets therein mentioned;" to which they desire their Lordships Concurrence.

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod do go and command the Judges presently to attend this House.

Quakers, Scruples in Methods of Swearing, Bill concerning.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act to prevent Obstructions of Justice, and other Inconveniencies, occasioned by many Protestant Subjects scrupling to swear in the Form and Manner now used."

The House was resolved into a Committee, upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act to prevent Obstructions of Justice, and other Inconveniencies, occasioned by many Protestant Subjects scrupling to swear in the Form and Manner now used."

The House was resumed.

And the Lord North reported, "That the Committee have made some Progress in the said Bill; and desire another Day may be appointed, for the House to be put into a Committee again, to proceed further in the said Bill."

ORDERED, That the House shall be put into a Committee again on the said Bill To-morrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Court of Chancery, &c. to reform Abuses in, Bill.

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the House shall be put into a Committee again, to proceed upon the Bill, intituled, An Act for regulating divers Abuses in the Court of Chancery, and other Courts of Equity," on Friday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and that all the Lords be summoned then to attend, and all the Judges.

Broomhall versus Johnson.

This Day was appointed for hearing the Cause wherein Thomas Bromhall is Plaintiff, and Henry Johnson Defendant:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Saturday the 29th Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.
