Bp. of Oxon takes the Oaths.

This Day John Lord Bishop of Oxon took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, pursuant to the several Statutes.

Dod versus Burroughs.

Upon reading the Petition of Anne Dod, Magdalen Johnson, Robert Colbach and Anne his Wife, Sarah Dod, Robert Cooper and Priscilla his Wife; complaining, "That the Lords Commissioners of the Great Seal have refused to obey an Order of this House of the 30th of April last, whereby a Decree made on the Behalf of Thomas Burrourghs was reversed, and Possession to be restored:"

Commissioners of the Great Seal to attend, for disobeying an Order of this House.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod, or his Deputy, do deliver to Sir Anthony Keck and Sir William Rawlinson, Two of the Lords Commissioners of the Great Seal, a Copy of the said Petition and Order; and they are hereby required to attend this House To-morrow, at Twelve a Clock in the Forenoon, to shew Cause why they did not obey the said Order.

Forester versus Bernard.

The House being this Day moved, "That a Day may be appointed for hearing the Cause wherein Anthony Forrester and his Wife and others are Appellants, and John Bernard, Samuell Munt, and others, Respondents; and that Proceedings may be stayed until the Hearing of the said Cause:"

Proceedings below stayed.

It is ORDERED, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Monday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and that, until the said Cause shall be heard in this House, all Proceedings in the Courts below shall be, and are hereby, stayed.

Message from H. C. with a Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Greeneville and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting certain Forfeitures of Five Hundred Pounds in Their Majesties, (fn. 1) and for the speedy levying of the same;" to which their Lordships Concurrence is desired.

City of London Militia.

After hearing several Persons this Day, at the Bar, concerning the Lieutenancy and Militia of the City of London:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will take the said Business into further Consideration To-morrow, after the hearing Counsel for the Paper-makers and others against the Bill concerning White Paper.

Stutville versus Ly. Glemham.

The House being moved, "That may enter into Recognizance for Charles Stutville, upon his Appeal, who is now sick:"

It is ORDERED, That do enter into Recognizance for him, as is desired.

Lieutenancy of London, Books to be brought.

ORDERED, That the Clerk of the Lieutenancy of the City of London do attend this House To-morrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, and bring with him the Books of the Lieutenancy in the Reign of the late King James.

Paper Bill Witnesses.

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Thomas Fennell, Sam. Hool, William Tindall, Wm. Allen, Philladelphia Cotterell, Sam. Antrim, Edw. Highmore, Nath. Gannocke, Tho. Dawson, Henry Badland, Jer. Taylor, Wm. Rogers, Tho. Jones, Dennis, Jos. Knight, James Mathews, Jn° Coleman, Bethel Goodwin, Slingsby Bethel Esquire, Jos. Church, and Tho. Alsop, be, and are hereby, required to attend this House, as Witnesses on the Behalf of the Paper Bill, on Saturday the 17th of this Instant May, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon.
