Bill for a Grant of Excise to Their Majesties:

Hodie 2a & 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for granting to Their Majesties, for Their Lives, and the Life of the Survivor of Them, certain Impositions upon Beer, Ale, and other Liquors."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass into a Law?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Robert Le Gard:

To acquaint them, that the Lords have passed the Bill for granting certain Impositions to Their Majesties, upon Beer, Ale, and other Liquors, without any Amendments.

Sir H. Forester's Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act to enable Sir Humphrey Forester to settle and dispose Lands, by the Consent of Sir Humfrey Winch, his Father-inLaw."

Clarke's Petition.

ORDERED, That the Petition of Edmond Clarke be, and is hereby, referred to the Lords Committees for Petitions; who are to consider thereof, and make Report to the House; and that, after this Petition, this House will receive no others this Session of Parliament.

Writs of Error, Report concerning.

ORDERED, That the Report from the Lords Committees appointed to examine what Precedents they can find of Writs of Error returned into the House of Peers, upon Judgements in the Exchequer, before any Writ of Error sued out before the Chancellor and Treasurer, shall be made on Friday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and that all the Lords be summoned to attend the House at that Time.

Bill for vacating several Letters Patents.

After hearing Counsel this Day at the Bar, on His Majesty's Behalf, for the Bill, intituled, "An Act for making void several Letters Patents therein mentioned;" as also Counsel on the Behalf of Rupert Browne Esquire, as to several Sums of Money due to him:

After Debate of what was offered by the Counsel, the Question was proposed, "Whether Directions shall be given to the Committee, That Provision be made in the Bill, that Mr. Rupert Browne may have the £.3300 and Interest, by him lent."

The Question was put, "Whether there shall be a Sum mentioned in the Question?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Then the main Question was put,

And it was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Proviso to it, for Browne to be a paid Money lent.

Lords Committees appointed to consider of a Bill, intituled, "An Act for making void several Letters Patents therein mentioned;" whose Lordships, having considered thereof, and made Provision in the said Bill that Mr. Rupert Browne, who was this Day heard by his Counsel at the Bar, may have the £.3300 by him lent, and Interest for the same, and made Alterations and added such Clauses as they shall think fit, are afterwards to report to the House:
