This Day Pawlett Earl of Boollingbrooke and George Lord Carterett did take the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, pursuant to the Statutes.
Worthingbury Church Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the separating and making the Chapel of Worthenbury a distinct Church from the Parish Church of Bangor."
ORDERED, That the Consideration of this Bill be committed to these Lords following:
Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet To-morrow, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings; and to adjourn as they please.
Le Grand, & al. Nat. Bill.
The Duke of Bolton reported, "That the Committee have considered the Bill for naturalizing David Le Grand and others; and that all Persons in that Bill did bring Proofs and Certificates that they had received the Sacrament according unto the Statute; whereupon the Committee thinks fit that the said Bill do pass as it is, without Amendments."
The House agreed to this Report; and ordered the said Bill to be engrossed as it is.
The Committee for Petitions are to meet To-morrow Morning, at Nine of the Clock.
Ly. Smith versus Blights.
Upon reading the Petition of the Lady Anne Smith; praying the Revival of her Appeal, to which Elizabeth and Frances Blight are Defendants; and that they may answer thereunto:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Elizabeth and Frances Blight be, and are hereby, required to put in their Answer, or respective Answers thereunto, in Writing, on Thursday the 10th Day of April next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the said Lady Smith is to cause timely Notice to be given to the Defendants to the End they answer accordingly.
Thwaits versus Dye et Ux.
Upon reading the Petition of James Thwaites; shewing, "That he hath an Appeal depending in this House, to which John Dye and his Wife are Defendants; and praying a Day may be appointed for hearing of the said Appeal:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Saturday the Fifth Day of April next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the Plaintiff is to cause timely Notice to be given to the Defendants, to the End they attend with their Counsel accordingly.
E. Macclesfield versus Starkey, in Error.
The House being moved, "That a Day may be appointed for arguing the Writ of Error depending in this House, wherein the Right Honourable the Earl of Maclesfeild is Plaintiff, and John Starkey Defendant:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Errors argued, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Friday the 11th Day of April next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.
