PRAYERS.

Bridgman and Cragg to attend the Committee about suborning Witnesses.

ORDERED, That William Bridgeman Esquire and Robert Cragg do attend the Lords Committees appointed to examine Persons to prove the endeavouring to suborn Witnesses against the Lord Steward and others, on Friday next, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Jervis versus Preston.

ORDERED, That John Preston hath hereby Time given him, for putting in his Answer to the Appeal of Francis Jervis, until Thursday the 26th Instant, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and thereof he may not fail.

Committee to inspect Appeals to which there are no Answers.

ORDERED, That the Committee for Petitions do inspect what Appeals are depending in this House of the last Session of this Parliament, that have not Answers put in to them, and to consider what Time is fit to be limited for bringing in Appeals; and to report to the House.

Committee for Inspections to report.

ORDERED, That the Report from the Committee of Inspections shall be made, the First Business, on Friday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and that all the Lords be summoned then to attend the House.

Ly. Ashfield versus Ashfields.

ORDERED, That on Saturday next at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, this House will hear the Counsel of Richard and Anne Ashfeild, and also the Counsel of the Lady Ashfeild, the First Business.

Forster versus Munt.

ORDERED, That Humphrey Munt hath hereby Time given him for putting in his Answer, to the Appeal of Anthoney Forster and Elizabeth his Wife, until Thursday the 26th Instant at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and thereof he may not fail.

Underwood versus Canham.

Upon hearing Counsel this Day at the Bar, upon the Petition and Appeal of Mary Underwood and others, from a Decree made in the High Court of Chancery, the Third Day of July 1689, in a Cause wherein these Appellants were Plaintiffs, and Daniell Canham Defendant; as also upon the Answer of the said Daniell Canham put in thereunto:

After due Consideration had of what was offered by Counsel (fn. 1) on either Side thereupon, it is ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal of Mary Underwood and others to this House be, and is hereby, dismissed; and that the Decree of the Court of Chancery, from which they appealed to this House, be, and is hereby, affirmed.

Coke versus Cobb.

The House was this Day moved, by the Consent of each Party, to transpose some Words in the Judgement of this House of the 28th of November last, in the Cause of Coke and Cobb, that the Words ["without (fn. 2) to the Titles on either Side"] may come in between the Word ["determined"] and the Word ["and"].

The Order being so read, it was allowed to be done.

Sir R. Harsnett and Sir T. Duppa, about executing the Orders, &c. of this House.

The Earl of Berkeley reported from the Lords Committees for Privileges, to whom was referred the Petition of Sir Roger Harsnett Knight, Serjeant at Arms, praying he may have the Execution of the Orders of this House: "Who having considered thereof, and of Precedents formerly in this Case, and the Case of Sir Thomas Duppa Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod put in thereunto, are of Opinion, That the Order made in the like Case, the Ninth of July 1660, be confirmed."

To which the House agreed; and ordered the same accordingly.

Message from H. C. that they have passed L. Hereford's Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Etherick and others;

To acquaint this House, that the Commons do agree to the Bill for enabling Edward Viscount Hereford to make a Marriage Jointure to Elizabeth Norborne, notwithstanding his Minority.

The Earl of Mulgrave is added to the Committee for drawing a Bill against the Papists.

The Lord Cornwallis is added to the Committee for Petitions.
