Russia Company, Pet. against the Bill to prohibit the Exportation of Wool;

Upon reading the Petition of the Governor, Treasurer, and Fellowship of Merchants for Discovery of new Trades, usually called The Russia Company; praying to be heard, before the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the better preventing the Exportation of Wool, and encouraging the Woollen Manufactures of this Kingdom," do pass:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Company, by Counsel, at the Bar, To-morrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Hamborough Company, D.

ORDERED, That the Hamborough Company shall be heard, by their Counsel, at the Bar of this House, To-morrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, before the passing the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the better preventing the Exportation of Wool, and encouraging the Woollen Manufactures of this Kingdom."

and Eastland Company.

ORDERED, That the Eastland Company shall be heard, by their Counsel, at the Bar of this House, Tomorrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, before the passing of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the better preventing the Exportation of Wool, and encouraging the Woollen Manufactures of this Kingdom."

Medhurst to be Receiver of the Peers Assessments for the Land Tax.

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Mr. Thomas Medhurst be, and is hereby, appointed to be Receiver and Collector of the several Sums of Money rated and taxed, or to be rated and taxed, upon the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, by virtue of an Act, intituled, "An Act for a Grant to Their Majesties of an Aid of Twelve Pence in the Pound, for One Year, for the necessary Defence of Their Realms;" which said Sums of Money, he the said Thomas Medhurst shall dispose of and pay to such Persons respectively, and at such Time, and for such Uses and Purposes, as is appointed by the said Act.

Swan to be examined by Irish Committee.

ORDERED, That Mr. Richard Swan do attend this House To-morrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, to be sworn, in order to be examined by the Lords Committees for inspecting the Miscarriages of Ireland, and for the Bill of Attainder.

An Address was read, for the Servants of the late King Charles the Second.

ORDERED, That it be re-committed.

Westminster Trained Bands to be posted in Palace Yard, to prevent Crowds coming down.

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Colonel Phillip Howard, John Poultney Esquire, and the other Deputy Lieutenants for the County of Midd. or some of them, do take Care, that Two Companies of the Trained Bands, for the City of Westminster and Liberties thereof, be raised, and posted by Seven of the Clock To-morrow Morning, in The Old Pallace Yard and the further End of Kingstreat, Westminster; and so to continue every Day until further Order of this House, to prevent the like unusual Concourse of People that were in and about Westminster Yesterday.

Message from H. C. to return the Bill concerning Tanned Leather.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Cristy and others:

Who returned the Bill for explaining Part of an Act made in the First Year of King James the First, concerning Tanned Leather; in which the Commons have made some Amendments, and desire their Lordships Concurrence thereunto.

Guernsey and Jersey Pet. against the Bill for prohibiting the Exportation of Wool.

The Petition of the Inhabitants of the Islands of Guernsey and Jersey was read, desiring to be heard before the Bill against the exporting of Wool be passed.

To that Purpose, a Clause was offered to the Consideration of the House.

Which, being read, was agreed to, and ordered to be made Part of the Bill.
