Bill to reverse Mrs. Lisle's Attainder.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for annulling and making void the Attainder of Alicia Lisle Widow."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass for a Law?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H.C. with it; and that the Lords have passed Nassau & al. Nat. Bill.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Mr. (fn. 1) Wetwin:

1. To deliver the Bill for annulling and making void the Attainder of Alicia Lisle Widow; and to desire the Concurrence of the Commons thereunto.

2. To let them know, that this House hath passed the Bill for the Naturalization of Henry of Nassau and others.

King's Message concerning a War with France.

The Marquis of Carmarthen, Lord President, signified to the House, "That His Majesty had commanded him to acquaint their Lordships, That He did intend speedily to declare War against France."

Hereupon it was ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Thanks of this House be given to His Majesty, for communicating to them His Intention of declaring War against France; and that this House is unanimously resolved to assist and serve His Majesty therein, to the utmost of their Power; and that the Lord Steward of the Household, the Lord Chamberlain, and the Lord Viscount Newport, attend His Majesty herewith.

Commitment of a Peer, for a Fine.

Next, the House heard the Judges, what Cases and Precedents there were in the Law, for the Commitment of a Peer of this Realm in Execution for a Fine.

And, after Consideration thereof, it is ORDERED, That this House will, on Wednesday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, take into their Consideration a Question arising upon the Case of the Earl of Devonshire, "Whether a Peer of this Realm may by Law be committed in Execution for a Fine?" and that Notice be given to the King's Counsel of the said Order.

Judges to attend, concerning their Judgement against Otes.

ORDERED, That Sir Richard Holloway and Sir Francis Withings be, and are hereby, required to attend this House, to give their Reasons and Grounds for their Judgement given against Titus Otes, on Saturday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Eyre versus Eyre & al;

Upon reading the Petition of Rowland Eyre Esquire, and others, Plaintiffs, and the Attorney of the Dutchy, Thomas Eyre Esquire, and others, Defendants; shewing, That a Petition of Appeal was exhibited, this present Parliament, on the Behalf of the Defendants, for setting aside certain Orders and Proceedings in the Dutchy for the dividing the Commons in the Two Towns of Hope and Bradwell, in the County of Derby; and praying, amongst other Things, to take the Case into Consideration, and give Directions to the Dutchy Court, or otherwise, that a fair, indifferent, and equal Division of the said Commons be made by Metes and Bounds:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Attorney of the Dutchy, Thomas Eyre Esquire, and the other Defendants, may have a Copy or Copies of the said Petition; and be, and are hereby, required to put in their Answer or respective Answers thereunto, in Writing, on Wednesday the 15th of May Instant, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the said Rowland Eyre and others Plaintiffs are to cause timely Notice to be given to the Defendants, to the End they answer accordingly.

Bill to amend the one for removing Papists.
