Message to H. C. that the Lords agree to the Vote about the Abdication.
A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Rob't Atkins and Sir Edward Nevill:
To let them know, that the Lords do agree with them in the Vote of the 28th of January last.
The House was adjourned during Pleasure into a Committee.
The House was resumed.
Oaths, instead of those of Allegiance and Supremacy.
Then the Earl of Clarendon reported, "That the Committee of the House have passed and framed Two new Oaths, which are to be taken instead of the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy."
Which, being read, were ordered, and Agreed to; and are to be sent to the House of Commons, for their Concurrence.
ORDERED, That the Vote which passed Yesterday for declaring the Prince and Princess of Orange to be King and Queen of England, and all the Dominions thereunto belonging, be sent to the House of Commons for their Concurrence.
Message to H. C. with them, and with the Declaration for the P. and Pss. of Orange to be King and Queen;
A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Robert Atkins and Serjeant Dolben:
To deliver the Vote for declaring the Prince and Princess of Orange to be King and Queen of England, and of all the Dominions thereunto belonging; and to desire their Concurrence thereunto.
2. Also to deliver the Two Oaths which are to be taken instead of the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy; and to desire their Concurrence to the same.
The Messengers return with this Answer:
Answer.
That they have delivered their Message to the House of Commons.
ORDERED, That this House be adjourned to Four of the Clock this Afternoon.
Message to H. C. to sit P. M.
A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Mr. Metham:
To let them know, that this House intends to adjourn to Four of the Clock this Afternoon; and the Lords desire they will do the like, if it may stand with their Conveniency.
