King's Answer to the Thanks for His Speech.

The Lord Chancellor acquainted the House, "That this House had waited Yesterday upon His Majesty, and presented Him their humble Thanks for His Most Gracious Speech; and His Majesty was pleased to return His Answer to this Effect:

"That His Majesty was very well satisfied that your Lordships were well pleased with what He said to you; and that He would never offer any Thing to this House that He should not be convinced was for the Good and true Interest of this Kingdom."

King's Answer concerning L. Delamer.

The Lord Treasurer reported, "That he and the other Lords with White Staves waited on His Majesty Yesterday, humbly to desire to know the Reason why the Lord Delamer, a Member of this House, is absent from His Attendance here; and His Majesty was pleased to return this Answer:

"Because he stands committed for High Treason, for levying War against the King this last Summer, testified upon Oath; and that His Majesty hath already given Directions that he shall be proceeded against with all Speed according to Law."

After Debate hereupon,

This Question was put, "Whether the Debate of this Business shall be adjourned to Monday Morning next?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Adjourn.
