A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Solicitor and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for a Grant to Their Majesties of an Aid of Two Shillings in the Pound, for One Year."

ORDERED, To be read To-morrow Morning.

Another Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Patience Ward and others:

Who brought up an Act, declaring and enacting John Rogerson to be a natural-born Subject of this Kingdom; to which their Lordships Concurrence is desired.

Ly. Ashfield versus Ashfields.

Upon reading the Petition of Dorcas Lady Ashfeild put in this Day, as also the Petition of Richard and Anne Ashfield:

After Debate, whether the Petitioners Richard and Anne Ashfield shall be heard as to the Explanation of the Judgement of this House; it is Resolved, upon the Question, That this House will hear the said Richard and Anne Ashfield, by their Counsel, upon the said Explanation, on Saturday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, whereof the Petitioners are to cause timely Notice to be given to the said Lady Ashfeild, to the End she attend with her Counsel accordingly.

Forster versus Munt.

Upon Report from the Lords Committees for Petitions, "That they have received the Petition of Anthony Forster and Elizabeth his Wife, and James Browning, being an Appeal upon an Order made upon a Bill of Review of Humphry Munt, by the Commissioners of the Great Seal of England, on the Fifth Day of December last, and from a Dismission of their Bill with Costs; who have considered thereof, and that their Lordships are of Opinion, that the said Petition is fit to be retained, and be heard by Counsel at the Bar:"

It is thereupon ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Humphry Munt may have a Copy of the said Petition; and be, and is hereby, required to put in his Answer thereunto in Writing on Thursday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the said Petitioners are to cause timely Notice to be given to the Defendant, to the End he answer accordingly.

Jervis versus Preston.

Upon Report from the Lords Committees for Petitions, "That they have received the Petition and Appeal of Francis (fn. 1) Jervin, from a Decree in the Court of Chancery, made the 16th Day of May, One Thousand Six Hundred Eigty-five, in a Cause wherein the said Francis J'rvin was Defendant, at the Suit of John Preston Complainant; who have considered thereof, and their Lordships are of Opinion, that the said Petition is fit to be retained, and heard by Counsel at the Bar:"

It is thereupon ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said John Preston may have a Copy of the said Petition; and be, and is hereby, required to put in an Answer thereunto in Writing on Thursday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the Petitioner is to cause timely Notice to be given to the Defendant, to the End he answer accordingly.

Warden versus Cole.

It is ORDERED, That the Petition of Robert Warden, and the Answer of George Cole put in thereunto, be, and is hereby, referred to the Lords Committees for Petitions, to consider whether it is fit to be heard at the Bar of this House.
