A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Summers and others:

Who brought up the Bill for preventing the Doubts and Questions concerning the collecting the Public Revenue, which their Lordships sent down with a few Amendments; to which Amendments the Commons do agree.

Bill for Conviction and Disarming of Papists.

ORDERED, That this Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House.

The House was presently adjourned into a Committee.

The Earl of Bridgewater reported, "That the Committee of the whole House have been considering the Bill for the more speedy disarming Papists; wherein they have made divers Amendments and Alterations, which are offered to the Consideration of the House.

The said Amendments were read Twice; and, after some Debate, were Agreed to.

Bp. of Lincoln, Leave to be absent.

ORDERED, That the Bishop of Lyncolne hath Leave to go for some Time into the Country, for Recovery of his Health.

Orme versus Sir John Gell & al.

Upon reading the Petition of Thomas Orme Esquire, One of the Trustees and Creditors of Charles Agard Esquire, deceased; shewing, "That, upon Hearing, 15 June, 33 Car. IIdi, before the then Lord Chancellor Nottingham, who declared the Trust to be a general Trust, and other Things in the Petition set forth; and praying the Reversal of the Decree and Proceedings in the Court of Chancery, made on the Behalf of Sir John Gell, Luke Glen, Thomas Alsop, and divers others, Defendants, in the Petition named, may answer hereunto:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Defendants, Sir John Gell, Luke Glen, Thomas Alsop, John Fox, Margerie Glen, Ellen Bayly, Mark Stope, Gilbert Merry, Andrew Glen, Thomas Ely, William Jackson, Sir Brian Broughton, Robert Jerome, Francis Wilkinson, Joseph Wilkinson, Margarett Dickeridge, Hester Sherrard, Sir Edward Littleton, Mr. Fitzberbert, John Osborn, John Harriman, Hugh Newton, James Molleram, John Hegge, John Fitzherbert Esquire, George Blackwell, Edmond Parker, Gilbert Munday, Mary Squire, John Hough, Hanna Lathwell, Arthur Rickards, George Taylor, Rachell Turner, and other Parties to the First Decree and last Dismission, may have a Copy or Copies of the said Petition of Thomas Orme; and be, and they are hereby, required to put in their respective Answer or Answers, to the said Petition, in Writing, on Tuesday the 28th of May next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the said Thomas Orme is to cause timely Notice to be given to the said Sir John Gell, Luke Glen, and the others Defendants, to the End they answer accordingly.
