Otes versus Regem, in Error.

The Lord Chief Justice of the Court of King's Bench acquainted the House, "That the Counsel of Titus Otes had delivered to him, in Writing, the Exceptions they made Yesterday at the Bar, to the Writs of Error, between Titus Otes and the King."

Whereupon it is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Sir Richard Hollaway and Sir Francis Withins be, and are hereby, required to attend this House on Saturday the Fourth of May next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, to give their Reasons or Grounds for their Judgement given against Titus Otes, in the Court of King's Bench; and that Copies of the Points insisted upon by the Counsel of the said Titus Otes be herewith sent, to be considered of by them; and hereof they may not fail.

To Sir Thomas Duppa, Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod attending this House.

Treason to correspond with the late K. James, Bill.

The Duke of Bolton reported from the Committee, the Bill, making and declaring it to be Treason to keep any Intelligence, or maintaining any Correspondency, with the late King James the Second; wherein the Committee have made several Alterations, which they offer to the Consideration of the House.

The said Alterations were read Twice, and agreed to, with some Amendments; and ordered to be engrossed.
