That the Commons will give a Conference, as is desired.

Ld. Lovelace's Bill.

Hodie 1 vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for enabling John Lord Lovelace to raise Money, for Payment of his Debts, and advancing his Daughters Portions, and for the confirming and securing the Jointure of the Lady Martha his Wife."

David & al. Nat. Bill.

The Lord Bishop of Rochester reported the Bill for Naturalization of Jacob David and others, "That the Committee think it fit to pass as it is, without any Amendments."

Then,

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for Naturalization of Jacob David and others."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

The House being informed, that the House of Commons were ready, in the Painted Chamber, for a Conference, the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and the Lords went to the Conference; which being ended, the House was resumed.

Then the Lord Privy Seal gave the House an Account, "That the Lords, who were appointed to manage this Conference have performed the Commands of this House."

Simony Bill

Hodie 1 vice lecta est Billa, "An Act that the Successor may not be punished for the Simony of his Predecessor."

Affidavits in the Country for taking, Bill.

Hodie 1 vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for taking Affidavits in the Country, to be made use of in the Court of King's Bench, Common Pleas, and Exchequer."

Bill for better Observation of the Sabbath.

The House was adjourned into a Committee, to consider of the Bill for the better Observation of the Lord'sday.

The House was resumed.

Message from H. C. with a Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Henry Ford and others; who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Thomas Barkely Esquire and his Trustees to sell Land, for Payment of the Debts of the said Thomas Barkeley, and raising Portions for his Younger Children."

Bill for better Observation of the Sabbath.

The House was adjourned again into a Committee, to consider of the Bill for Observation of the Lord'sday.

The House being resumed:

The Lord Bishop of Rochester reported, "That the Committee have made some Progress in that Bill, and desire that Directions may be given to the Two Chief Justices and the Lord Chief Baron, to bring in some Clauses, to some Particulars which were mentioned in the Debate, against the next Sitting of the Committee; which the House is desired to appoint."

And the House appointed Saturday next, to proceed in that Bill.

Bulkley versus Bulkley, in Error.

Whereas this House had appointed to hear Counsel at the Bar, on Saturday next, to argue Errors, upon a Writ of Error depending, wherein William Bulkeley is Plaintiff, and Bartholomew Bulkley Defendant; and whereas the said William Bulkeley hath a Petition upon his Appeal against the said Bartholomew Bulkeley depending in this House, referred to the Consideration of the Lords Committees for Petitions; whose Lordships have not yet considered so thereof, as to make a Report unto the House:

It being this Day moved, on the Behalf of the said William Bulkley, "That the said Lords Committees may make a Report thereof before the said Errors be argued at the Bar;" it is thereupon ORDERED, That the Lords Committees for Petitions are hereby appointed to consider of the said Petition of William Bulkeley, on the First Tuesday of the Sitting of the Parliament next after Easter Weeke; and report their Opinion thereupon to the House: And it is further ORDERED, That this House doth hereby appoint to hear the said Errors argued, by Counsel, at the Bar, on both Parts, on the First Thursday then next following, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the said William Bulkeley is to cause such timely Notice to be given to the said Bartholomew Bulkeley, as may prevent his attending with Counsel on Saturday next.

Ly. Gerrard versus Gatacre, Jasper, et al. Privilege.

Upon reading the Petition of Dame Jane Gerrard, the Relict of the Right Honourable Charles Lord Gerrard, complaining of a Breach of the Privilege of the Peerage of this Realm, done by George Gatacre, an Attorney at Law, Amos Jasper Yeoman, and Thomas Launder Constable, who in July last (upon colour of searching for a Person pretended to have been theretofore arrested, and had made his Escape) did break open several Doors in her House, as in the Petition is set forth; and thereupon prayeth Relief from this House:

It is ORDERED, That the said Petition be, and is hereby, referred to the Lords Committees for Privileges; whose Lordships are to examine Precedents for what hath been done in the like Case, and make Report thereof unto this House.
