Cooke's Bill.

The Lord Viscount Conway reported, "That the Committee for the Bill for settling the Estate of Robert Cooke Esquire have met several Times; and are of Opinion, That the said Bill is sit to be engrossed, with some Amendments, which are offered to the Consideration of the House."

The said Amendments, being read Twice, were Agreed to; the Bill is ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

Smith's charitble Uses Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the better Settlement and Employment of the Real and Personal Estate of Henry Smith Esquire, for charitable Uses."

Bill for more effectual Conviction of Popish Recusants.

The House was adjourned into a Committee, to proceed in the Bill for the more effectual Conviction and Prosecution of Popish Recusants.

The House being resumed;

The Earl of Bridgwater reported, "That the Committee, after several Days Consideration of the said Bill, have made Amendments and Alterations therein, which are offered to the Consideration of the House."

The said Amendments and Alterations were read Twice, and Agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

ORDERED, That the Bill concerning Foreign Protestants, and the Bill for the Liberty of the Subject, shall be read the Second Time To-morrow Morning.

Bill for Exportation of Leather.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act to revive and continue a late Act, intituled, An Act giving Liberty to buy and export Leather, and Skins Tanned or Dressed."

Shoemakers to be heard against it.

A Petition of the Shoemakers was read; desiring to be heard, by Counsel, at the Bar, before this Bill be committed.

Upon which, the House made this ensuing Order:

"Whereas, upon the Second Reading of the Bill, intituled, "An Act to revive and continue a late Act, intituled, An Act giving Liberty to buy and export Leather and Skins Tanned or Dressed," a Petition of the Company of Shoemakers was this Day presented, and read in this House, praying that they may be heard, by their Counsel, at the Bar, to set forth their Reasons against the reviving the said Act: It is thereupon ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Company of Shoemakers shall be heard, by their Counsel, at the Bar of this House, on Monday the Second Day of April next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, what they have to object against the reviving of the said Act."

Tomlinson versus Wilson, in Error.

Upon reading the Petition of Thomas Wilson Defendant in a Writ of Error depending in this House, in which Writ Christopher Tomlinson is Plaintiff; praying, "That this House would appoint a short Day for the said Plaintiff to assign his Errors, or, in Default thereof, that the said Writ, with the Transcript of the Record thereto annexed, may be remitted:"

It is thereupon ORDERED, That the said Christopher Tomlinson be, and is hereby, required to assign Errors upon the said Writ of Error within Three Days next after Notice given to him by the Service of this Order upon him the said Christopher Tomlinson, or his Attorney in the said Writ; and hereof he may not fail.

Adjourn.
