ORDERED, That the Committee for the Bill for admeasuring of Ships and Boats are to meet on Monday Morning next.

Petition about Visc. Purbeck Memorandum, That the Three Interlineations made in the Order concerning the Title of Vicecomes Purbeck were made this 16 Day of July, 1678, before us,

ORDERED, That the Petition reported to this [House] to be presented to His Majesty, to give Leave that a Bill may be brought in, to disable the Petitioner [who claims the Title of Vicecomes Purbeck] from claiming [the said] Title, be taken into Consideration on Monday Morning next.

Lawrence versus Berny. Memorandum, The Two Interlineations made in this Order, this 16 July, 1678, were made before us,

Upon reading the Petition of Thomas Laurance, shewing; "That some Depositions (taken heretofore in the Court of Wards, [in a] Decrec complained of concerning his Cause [which] is to be heard on Monday next), are necessary to be produced, but impossible to be copied by that Time; and therefore prayeth, that they may be brought:"

It is thereupon ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Keeper of the Records of the late Court of Wards be, and is hereby, authorized and required to bring before this House such Depositions, at the Charge of the said Thomas Laurance, as he shall have Occasion to make Use of, on Monday, and such other Times as this House shall appoint.

Stansby versus Wooley, in Error.

Upon reading the Petition of William Stansby Clerk, complaining of the Delays used by William Wooley, who hath brought a Writ of Error into this House, for reversing a Judgement given for Thomas Robinson, wherein the Interest of the Petitioner is concerned, and pleaded Diminution, as is alledged, only to gain Time:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear Counsel at the Bar, on both Parts, upon the said Writ of Error, on Tuesday the Ninth Day of this Instant July, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the Petitioner is to cause timely Notice to be given to the said William Wooley or his Attorney, for that Purpose.

Pawn-brokers Bill

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for regulating Pawn-brokers."

Petition against it.

Upon the Second Reading of a Bill, intituled, "An Act for regulating the Pawn-brokers," as also upon reading the Petition of John Bush, John Row, Robert Grimes and William Cowper, and the rest of the Pawn-brokers and others concerned in the said Bill, praying, "That the said Bill may not pass, before this House will be pleased to hear them at the Bar concerning the same"

It is thereupon ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear Counsel for the Petitioners, as also for the Prosecutors of the said Bill, at the Bar of this House, on Friday the 12th Day of this Instant July, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

River Fale Bill. Trevannion's Petition.

Upon reading the Petition of Charles Trevannion Esquire; praying, "That the Lords Committees for the Bill, intituled, "An Act for making navigable the River Fale, alias Vale, in the County of Cornwall, who adjourned till Friday next, may meet sooner, upon the Reasons in the Petition set forth:"

Upon Consideration had thereof, it is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition be, and is hereby, referred to the said Lords Committees, who are to meet on Monday next, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon, and consider thereof, and proceed upon the said Bill in such Manner as their Lordships shall see Cause.

E Feversham versus Watson.

After hearing Counsel this Day at the Bar, in the Cause upon the Appeal of Lewis Earl of Feversham, and the Answer of Lewis Watson and the Lady Katherine his Wife:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of what Judgement shall be given thereupon is hereby adjourned, to be resumed on Monday the Eighth Day of this Instant July, the First Business, and nothing to intervene.

Sir R. Vyner et al. Bankers Bill.

Upon Report made this Day by the Lord Privy Seal, from the Lords Committees appointed to consider of the Bill for confirming several Letters Patents granted by His Majesty, to Sir Robert Vyner, Edward Backwell Esquire, and others therein named, to which Bill their Lordships have thought fit to make several Amendments, and add Clauses and Provisos:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will proceed to consider of the said Report the next Business, after that in the Cause of the Earl of Feversham and Lewis Watson Esquire and his Wife shall be determined.
