A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by John Lovelace Esquire, &c.; who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for confirming Purchasers Estates, and for settling the Differences between the Lady Elizabeth Lee and the Daughters and Coheirs of the Earl of Downe;" whereto their Lordships Concurrence is desired.

The Lord Arlington acquainted the House, from His Majesty, "That His Intention is, that the Parliament should rise before Easter next: Therefore desires that such Public Bills as shall come before their Lordships be dispatched with as much Expedition as may be."

Union between England and Scotland.

ORDERED, That the Business of the Union between the Kingdoms of England and Scotland shall be taken into Consideration To-morrow Morning.

Committee to consider of Decay of Trade, &c.

ORDERED, That the Committee appointed to consider of the Cause of the Falling of Rents and Decay of Trade within this Kingdom is revived, and appointed to meet on Thursday next; and the Earl of Bolingbrooke and the Lord Sandys are added to the said Committee.

Ash discharged.

Whereas Thomas Ash, of Balbrooke, in the County of Derby, an Attorney at Law, appearing this Day at the Bar of this House, for arresting Henry Brunsell Clerk, and Prebendary of Ely, a Proctor for the Church in the Convocation of the Clergy, within the Time of Privilege allowed to the Members of the said Convocation by the Statute of the Eighth Year of King Henry the Sixth in that Case made and provided, hath received the Reprehension of the House for his said Offence, being warned henceforward, as well to take Notice of the Privilege belonging to the Members of the Convocation, as to the Members of Parliament:

It is ORDERED, That the said Thomas Ash be, and is hereby, discharged from any further Attendance upon this House concerning that Business.

Slingsby versus Hale.

Upon reading and considering of the humble Petition of Henry Slingsby Esquire, and Anne his Wife, Daughter of Sir Anthony Cage deceased, Co-executors of his last Will and Testament, this Day in the House; complaining of an erroneous Decree made in the Court of Chancery, concerning certain Lands and Hereditaments of the said Sir Anthony Cage, in the County of Cambridge, mortgaged to Rose Hale Widow, deceased, which are since come to William Hale Esquire, now a Member of the House of Commons; and also of the Dismission of his Bill of Review concerning the same:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will take the said Petition into further Consideration on Saturday next; and that Intimation thereof be given to the said William Hale, and a Copy of the Petition shewed to him, to the End he may then be heard, to make such Defence thereunto as he shall see Cause.
