The Earl of Sandwich reported, "That the Committee for the Bill to enable Elizabeth, Mary, and Letitia Hamond, to sell certain Lands, have considered the same, and have heard and received the Consents of all Parties concerned, and have perused the Deeds concerning the said Lands, and do think the said Bill fit to pass as it is, without any Amendment"

L. Byron versus Sir W. Juxon, Privilage

This Day was heard Counsel, between the Lord Byron and Sir William Juxon, concerning the Possession of the Tithes and Profits of Rochdale, &c in the County of Lancaster

The Question being put, "Whether the Debate of this Business shall be adjourned till Tomorrow?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

L. Byron, Privilege:

Whereas Richard Holt, now in the Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, for arresting Abraham Scofield, Servant to the Lord Byron, was this Day brought to the Bar, it appearing that the said Abraham Scofield was arrested by Henry Whitacre, and that he the said Richard Holt did not intermeddle in the said Arrest

Holt discharged

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Richard Holt be, and is hereby, discharged from any further Restraint for or concerning the said Arrest, paying his Fees And this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf

Hargrave and Whitacre to be attached

Whereas Jeremy Hargrave an Attorney, and Henry Whitacre, were this Day brought to the Bar, by the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, for arresting Abraham Scofield, Servant to the Lord Byron, contrary to the Privilege of Parliament, it appearing, by the Confession of the said Henry Whitacre, that he arrested the said Abraham Scofield, being employed by the said Jeremy Hargrave, who refused to give Regard to the Protection of the said Lord Byron, granted to the said Abraham Scofield, but carried him above Twenty Miles, and kept him a Day and Half before they would discharge him

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Jeremy Hargrave and Henry Whitacre shall remain in the Custody of the Gentleman Usher attending this House until further Order, and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf
