Bellamy's Bill.

The Earl of Dorsett reported, "That the Lords Committees have considered of the Bill of Rob't Bellamy, and do think it fit to pass, with some Alterations."

Which, being read Twice, and Agreed to, the said Bill was ordered to be engrossed, with the said Alterations.

The Bishop of Petriburg and the Bishop of Rochester are added to the Committee for the Bill to prevent burning of Stacks of Corn, and destroying of Cattle.

Dr. Salmon versus Hamburgh Company.

Upon the presenting of the humble Petition of William Whitmore Esquire, Administrator of the Goods and Chattels of Charles Whitmore deceased, this Day to the House:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition shall be taken into Consideration on Thursday the Seventeenth Day of November Instant; on which Day Counsel is herebyappointed to be heard, at the Bar of this House, upon the Petition of Peter Salmon Doctor in Physic, and the Plea, Answer, and Demurrer, of Rowland Wynn, John Dogget, Henry Collier, and John Lethicullier, thereunto, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, whereof timely Notice is to be given by the said Peter Salmon unto the said Defendants, to the End they may come prepared at the Time aforesaid.

D. Richmond versus E. of Newburgh & al. Privilege.

Upon hearing of Counsel this Day at the Bar, upon the Complaint of the Duke of Richmond, of a Breach of Privilege of Parliament, by the Attournment of William Delamore and Robert Reekes, who are, since the sitting this Session of Parliament, become Tenants to the Earl of Newburgh, for some Lands in Sutton Marsh, in the County of Lyncolne, late in the Possession of the said Duke of Richmond, who received the Rents and Profits thereof; all which Matter of Fact is confessed:

It is thereupon ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Counsel shall be heard, at the Bar of this House, on Monday the Fourteenth Day of November Instant, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, to offer to their Lordships Consideration what they think fit upon this Point; videlicet, "Whether Attournment of Tenants to another Person in this Case, be a Breach of Privilege of Parliament or no?"

L. Fitzwalter's Precedency determined.

The Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled taking into Consideration this Day the Lord Fitzwalter's Claim of Precedency in this House to all Barons now sitting as Barons; the Lord Keeper, by Command of the Lords, demanded of the Lord Fitzwalter, "Whether his Lordship would consent to sit as the last Baron of the Reign of King Edward the First, with a Saving of his own Right; and also saving the Rights of all other Barons?"

To which the said Lord Fitzwalter declared his Consent.

Upon which Consent given, this House did adjudge, That his Lordship be placed the last Baron of the Reign of King Edward the First accordingly.

Then the Lord Keeper (by the Directions of this House) signified to the Lord Fitzwalter, "That his Lordship should sit as the last Baron of the Reign of King Edward the First, with a Saving of his own Right, and saving of the Rights of all other Barons."

And accordingly the Lord Fitzwalter took the said Place immediately.
