Bill to prevent Frauds in exporting Wool, &c.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for preventing of Frauds in exporting Wool, Woolfells, Mortlings, Shorlings, Wool Flocks, or any Yarn made of Wool, contrary to former Acts made in that Behalf."

ORDERED, That the Consideration of this Bill is committed to these Lords following;

E. Clare versus Francklyn and Vosper, for proving Ly. F. Holles's Will, notwithstanding his Caveat.

Upon Complaint made this Day to this House, "That Mr. Samuell Francklyn, One of the Proctors of the Prerogative, and Mr. James Vosper, have clandestinely proceeded in the Proving of the Will of the Lady Frances Holles, late Sister to the Earl of Clare, One of the Peers of this House, in the Court of the Archdeacon of Midd. purposely to avoid a Caveat entered by the said Earl in the Prerogative Court against the Proving thereof; and likewise the Privilege claimed on the said Earl of Clare's Behalf, and allowed by the Judge of the Prerogative Court, when they attempted the Proving of the said Will there:"

It is thereupon ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Samuell Francklyn and James Vosper be, and are hereby, required to attend at the Bar of this House, on Monday the 25th of this Instant October, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, to answer the said Complaint: And hereof they may not fail.

Whereas there is a Complaint made in this House, against Mr. Samuell Francklyn, One of the Proctors of the Prerogative Court, and Mr. James Vosper, concerning their Manner of Proceedings in the Proving of the Will of the Lady Frances Holles, late Sister to the Earl of Clare, a Peer of this House:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Mr. Suckley, Mr. Rocke, Mr. Robert Chapman, and Mr. Thomas Smith, be, and are hereby, appointed to attend at the Bar of this House, on Monday the 25th of this Instant October, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, to give Evidence of their Knowledge concerning the said Matter: And hereof they may not fail.

Adjourn.
