ORDERED, That the Lord Privy Seal, the Earl of Dorsett, and the Lord Ashley, be added to the Committee for the Bill concerning the Redress of Inconveniencies by Want of Proof of the Decease of Persons beyond the Seas, or absenting themselves, upon whose Lives Estates do depend.
Vote against Importation of French Commodities.
The House took into Consideration the Vote brought from the House of Commons, concerning the prohibiting the Importation of Commodities from France.
And it is ORDERED, That the further Debate of this Business shall be resumed to To-morrow Morning.
Bishop Exon, Thanks for his Sermon.
ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Thanks of this House be given to the Lord Bishop of Exon, for his Pains in the Service he performed in preaching a Sermon before the Peers, in the Abbey Church at Westminster, Yesterday, being the Day appointed by His Majesty for Fasting and Humiliation, in Consideration of the late dreadful Fire, which wasted the greater Part of the City of London; and that his Lordship be, and is hereby, desired to print and publish his said Sermon.
