E. of Oxford, Privilege.

Upon Oath made, at the Bar of this House, by Richard Woodkeeper and Thomas Urwen, "That John Deely, Master of The King's Head Inne in Oxford, detains the Waggon of the Earl of Oxford, a Peer of this Realm, contrary to the Privilege of Parliament:"

Deely to be attached, for detaining his Waggon.

It is thereupon ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Waggon be restored presently to the Earl of Oxford; and that the said John Deely be forthwith attached, and brought to the Bar of this House, to answer the said Breach of Privilege: And for so doing, this shall be a sufficient Warrant.

Bill to take away Damage Clear.

The Earl of Bridgwater reported, "That the Lords Committees have considered the Bill for taking away Damage Clear; to which their Lordships have added a Proviso, and made some Amendments therein, which are offered to the Consideration of this House."

Then the said Proviso and Amendments, being read Twice, were Agreed to.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for taking away Damage Clear."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill, with the Amendments and Proviso now read, shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir William Childe and Sir Nathaniell Hobart:

To deliver to them the Bill for taking away Damage Clear, and to desire their Concurrence in the Proviso and Amendments added by this House.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Solicitor General and others; who brought up a Bill, passed their House, intituled, "An Act for granting the Sum of Twelve Hundred and Fifty Thousand Pounds to the King's Majesty, for His present and further Supply;" and they desire their Lordships Concurrence therein.

Whereas John Deely, Master of The King's Head Inne, in Oxford, now in the Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, for detaining a Waggon belonging to the Earl of Oxford, a Peer of this Realm, contrary to the Privilege of Parliament, was this Day brought to the Bar, where he acknowledged his Offence, praying the Mercy of this House, and alledged, "That the said Waggon is released:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said John Deely (having received the Reprehension of this House for his said Offence) be forthwith discharged of his present Restraint, paying his Fees. And this shall be a sufficient Warrant in that Behalf.

Supply Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for granting the Sum of Twelve Hundred and Fifty Thousand Pounds to the King's Majesty, for His present further Supply."

ORDERED, That the Consideration of this Bill is committed to a Committee of the whole House, to be proceeded upon on Monday Morning next.
