Upon reading the Petition of Doctor Hurst, and divers Ministers put out of their Livings in the Time of the late unhappy Troubles:
It is ORDERED, That it is referred to the Committee for Petitions; who are to hear all Parties concerned herein, and to receive other Petitions of the like Nature.
Addition to the Prayers used in this House.
ORDERED, That, in the set Prayers of this House, the Prayer shall be enlarged, to pray for the Queen, and Duke of Yorke, and the rest of the Royal Progeny; and that Thanks in the said Prayers shall be given, for the Restoration of the King and Parliament to the happy Condition that now it is in; and the Minister that reads the Prayers is to add these Particulars.
Brayne's Pet. about Wollaston's Wood.
Upon reading a Petition of John Brayne, concerning Wollaston Woods, in the Forest of Deane, touching which there is a former Order made in this House:
It is ORDERED, That the Consideration of this Petition be referred to the Committee for Petitions, to hear all Parties concerned; and timely Notice hereof to be given.
Order concerning Havering Park,
ORDERED, That there be an Order to stop the cutting of Woods, and (fn. 1) no carrying away the Wood already cut, in the King's Park at Havering; nor any other Waste committed thereupon: And Commissioners Names to be brought in, who are to be Commissioners to see this put into Execution.
and Sherwood Forest.
ORDERED, That there be an Order for stopping of Waste, and cutting of Timber, in the Forest of Sherwood; and no Timber or Wood already cut is to be carried away: And Commissioners Names to be brought in, to see this Order put into Execution.
Marquis of Winton's Petition.
Upon reading the Petition of the Marquis of Winton:
It is ORDERED, To be referred to the Committee for Petitions, to hear all Parties concerned, and to report to this House.
The Lord Arrundell and Lord Morley are added to the Committee for Petitions.
E. of Chesterfield's Privilege.
Upon Information to this House, "That the Bailiffs of Westm. have, in an illegal Manner, and contrary (fn. 2) to the Privileges of Parliament, seized the Goods and Writings of the Earl of Chesterfeild, a Member of this House:
It is ORDERED, That the Examination of this Business is referred to the Committee for Privileges; and that the Witnesses shall attend their Lordships at their next Meeting, being first to be sworn at this Bar.
Weaver to attend, about Millet's Cause.
ORDERED, That Weaver, a Prisoner in The Poultry Compter, shall be brought before the Lords Committees for Petitions, To-morrow in the Afternoon, to give in his Testimony in the Cause of Henry Millett.
Pet. to the King, concernning His Proclamation against Prophaneness.
ORDERED, That the Lord Chamberlain, Earl North'ton, Lord Wharton, Lord Culpeper, Lord Robertes, do meet To-morrow Morning, at Eight of the Clock, to prepare a Draught of a Petition to be presented to His Majesty from both Houses, to desire His Majesty would be pleased that His Proclamation against Prophaneness be read in all Churches and Chapels, by the Ministers, every Month, for certain Months M (fn. 3) together; and likewise to be read at the Assizes.
ORDERED, That the Earl of Leichfeild be added to the Committee for Petitions.
Order to stay the Waste of Timber, &c. in Havering Park.
Upon Information given this Day to the House, "That there is great Waste committed in Havering Parke, in the County of Essex, by cutting, felling, and carrying away, Timber and other Wood out of the said Park:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords in Parliament assembled, That there shall be no more Waste made, by cutting or felling any more Timber or Wood in the said Park, nor that any Timber or Wood already cut shall be taken or carried away from off the Premises, until His Majesty's Pleasure shall be further signified therein: And it is hereby specially recommended to Sir William Hickes, Sir Henry Wroth, Mr. Mauby, Mr. Askewe, jointly or severally, to see this Order put in due Execution, for the Service of His Majesty, and the Preservation of Timber in those Parts: And in case Obedience be not yielded hereunto, that Information be given to this House thereof, that such further Course may be taken therein as shall be meet.
D for Sherwood Forest.
Upon Information given this Day to the House, "That there is great Waste committed, in the Forest of Sherwood, by cutting, felling, and carrying away, Timber and other Wood out of the said Forest:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords in Parliament assembled, That there shall be no more Waste made, by cutting or felling any more Timber or Wood in the said Forest, nor that any more Timber or Wood already cut shall be taken or carried away from off the Premises, until His Majesty's Pleasure shall be further signified therein: And it is hereby specially recommended to the Marquis of Newcastle, Earl of Clare, Lord Lexington, Lord Bellasis, Lord Chaworth, Sir George Savill Baronet, John Digby Esquire, Symon Digby, Rowland Dand, John Gesling, Jonathan Newton, Samuell Bordman, Charles White, Anthony Gilbee, Thomas Briscoe, John Wood, Molyneux Disney, William Willoughby, and George Marcome, jointly or severally, to see this Order put in due Execution, for the Service of His Majesty, and the Preservation of Timber in those Parts: And in case Obedience be not yielded hereunto, that Information be given to this House thereof, that such further Course may be taken therein as shall be meet.
