Message from H. C. with Bills.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Thomas Littleton Baronet, and others; who brought Three Bills passed by the Commons, wherein they desire their Lordships Concurrence:

1. "An Act to confirm a Sale of certain Lands, lying in Shropshire, made by Sir Robert Howard, to raise Money to pay his Debts."

2. "An Act for explaining and enlarging an Act made in 43 Eliz. for Relief of the Poor."

3. "An Act to prevent the selling of live fat Cattle by Butchers."

Heralds Bill to regulate Descents, &c.

The Earl of Dorsett reported from the Committee the Bill concerning the Heralds, with some Alterations and Provisos; which were read Once, and ordered to be re-committed to the further Consideration of the same Committee; (fn. 1) who are to meet on Monday next, at Three of the Clock in the Afternoon.

Lord Byron's Bill.

The Lord Byron's Bill being engrossed, and going to be read the Third Time, a Proviso was offered to the House, to be added to the said Bill; which being read, the said Proviso is committed to the Consideration of the same Committee as the Bill was; and their Lordships are to meet To-morrow Morning, at Nine of the Clock, in the Prince's Lodgings.

Select Vestries Bill.

The Lord Bishop of Sarum reported, "That the Committee have further considered of the Bill for regulating of Select Vestries; and their Opinion is, That the said Bill is fit to pass, without any Alterations."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Bill against Sectaries.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act to prevent the unlawful Meetings of Sectaries, Non-conformists, and Dissenters from the Church of England."

Cramphorne, the Carman who drove against the Peer's Carriage, to be released on finding Sureties.

Whereas John Cramphorne, a Carman, that affronted the Lords in their Coach as they were come to attend the Parliament Yesterday, was committed to the Custody of the Serjeant at Arms:

Upon the Desire of the Earl of Middlesex this Day to this House; it is ORDERED, That the Serjeant at Arms shall carry the said John Crampehorne before the Lord Chief Justice of England, who is desired from this House to take Sureties of him for his good Behaviour, and after that to be released from his present Restraint.

Zouch & Ux. versus Bedingfield.

ORDERED, That the Cause depending in this House between Sir Allan Zouch and Katherine his Wife Plaintiffs, and Anne Bedingfeild Widow Defendant, shall be heard, at this Bar, by Counsel and Witnesses on both Sides, on Tuesday Morning next, the Seventh of this Instant July.

Witherings versus Roch, in Error.

This Day the Lord Chief Justice of England brought into this House, in the usual Manner, a Writ of Error, wherein Witherings is Plaintiff, and Roch is Defendant.
