Preacher at the Thanksgiving day.
ORDERED, That Mr. Hodges is appointed to preach before the Lords, the next Day of Thanksgiving, in the Abbey Church.
Lords admitted to their Seats.
Signification being given to the House, "That divers Lords were in the Lobby, ready to attend the Service of this House having never sat in Parliament since the Death of their Ancestors;"
The House gave the Gentleman Usher Authority to call them in, to sit in their Places in this House.

Ordinance for a Committee of Safety.
ORDERED, That these Lords following (fn. 1) are appointed Committees, to frame an Ordinance for the constituting of a Committee of Safety of both Houses; and to report the same to this House.

Resolved, that the Earl of Manchester is hereby nominated and appointed One of the Commissioners of the Great Seal of England; and to send to the House of Commons for their Concurrence herein.

Lords Committees appointed to consider of the Privileges of this House; videlicet,
Their Lordships, or any Nine, to meet in the Prince's Lodgings when they please; and to adjourn from Time to Time, as they shall see Cause.
To consider of some Lords and Assistants, sitting.
ORDERED, That it is referred to the Lords Committees for Privileges, to consider of the different Cases of those Lords that have late come to sit in this House, and those as do not; and also what Assistants that formerly sat in this House are now alive, and capable of being admitted to be Assistants to this House.
Committee for a Conference for settling the Nation.
ORDERED, That a Conference be had with the House of Commons, to consider of some Way and Means to be found out, to make up the Breaches and Distractions of this Kingdom: And this Conference to be on Tuesday Morning next, in the Painted Chamber; and these Lords were appointed to consider and draw up Heads for this Conference; videlicet,
Their Lordships, or any Seven, to meet To-morrow Morning, in the Prince's Lodgings, at Nine of the Clock.
Message to the H. C. for this Conference.
A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Rich and Mr. Eltonhead:
To desire a Conference, on Tuesday Morning next, at Ten of the Clock, in the Painted Chamber, in order to the Settlement of the great Affairs of the Kingdom.
