D. of Richmond's Bill:
The Earl of Bridgwater reported from the Committee, the Bill concerning the Duke of Richmond, which the Committee have considered of, and made some Amendments, which are offered to their Lordships Consideration; and further signified, "That the Dutchess of Richmond and her Trustees have given their Consents therein; and the Duke of Richmond hath assured the Committee, that there are no other Incumbrances upon the Estate, but those that are given in by his Lordship in a Paper, now made of the Bill."
Then the said Amendments were read Twice.
D. of Richmond's Declaration, upon his Honour concerning it.
The Duke of Richmond did declare upon his Honour in the House publicly, "That there are no other Incumbrances upon the Land than what are contained in the Paper reported this Day, and annexed to the Bill; neither hath his Lordship made any other Settlement of the Lands contained in the Security which is to be given to the Lady Mary."
Upon this, the House agreed to the aforesaid Amendments; and ORDERED, That the said Bill be engrossed, with the said Amendments.
Brisco's Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the empowering of Sir Courtney Poole and Sir John Drake Baronet, and others, to make Payment of the Portion of Ellen Briscoe Widow, One of the Daughters of Sir John Drake Knight, by Sale of the Manor of Lymington, in the County of Somersett, or by granting Estates out of the same, or otherwise."
ORDERED, That the Consideration of this Bill is committed to these Lords following; (videlicet,)
Their Lordships, or any Five; to meet on Saturday next, in the Afternoon, at Three of the Clock, in the Prince's Lodgings.
Bill concerning Quakers.
The Earl of Bridgwater reported from the Committee, "That they have made some Alterations and Amendments in the Bill concerning Quakers, in Pursuance of their Lordships Directions given to the Committee."
Which Amendments were read Twice.
And the Question being put, "Whether to concur with the Committee in these Alterations and Amendments now reported?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.
ORDERED, To have a Conference with the House of Commons To-morrow Morning, to communicate to them these Alterations and Amendments.
Message from H. C. with Bills.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir John Goodrich and others; who brought up these Bills following:
1. A Bill for Confirmation of certain Decrees of Sewers, made by the Commissioners for the Limits of the Level of the River of Antholne, in the County of Lyncolne; wherein their Lordships Concurrence is desired.
2. They return a Bill sent down, for the Endowment of several Churches, by the Lord Viscount Scudamore, of Slego, in the Kingdom of Ireland, wherein their Lordships made some Alterations and Amendments; to which the House of Commons do agree.
Wandleys against the M. of Worcester's Bill.
ORDERED, That the Hearing of the Counsel of Andrewe Wandley and Valentine Wandly, touching the Marquis of Worcester's Bill, is put off until the 12th Day of March next.
ORDERED, That the Lord Windsor is added to the Committee for making Rivers navigable.
ORDERED, That the Duke of Bucks and the Earl of Pembrooke are added to the Committee for Uniformity; and the Lord Hunsdon is added to the Committee for Printing.
Bill for Uniformity of Worship.
ORDERED, That Mr. Justice Hyde and Mr. Attorney General have Notice to attend the Committee for Uniformity this Afternoon.
