HODIE Dominus Cancellarius, ex Mandato Regio, ostendebat Dominis hic presentibus causas secretiores hujus Parliamenti Summonitionis; primam concernentem Regem Scotie et multimodas injurias subditis Regni Anglie illatas; et bellum inter Regem Castelli et Ducem Gyldrie ejus Affinitatem; et tertiam concernentem Dominum Summum Pontificem, et diffentionem inter ipsum et Lodovicum Francorum Regem; lectumque fuit per Magistrum Rotulorum Breve Apostolicum, in vulgari translatum, continens contumelias, dampna, et injurias, sancte Sedi Apostolice et Romano Pontifici per Lodovicum Gallorum Regem illatas.
