1031. Will of Ralph Blunt proved and enrolled in the Husting, Mon. 12 Feb. 1296, in which he bequeathed, after the death of Matilda his wife, 6 marks of quit rent viz. from a tenement once of John Skip in the parish of St. Mary Woolchurch, 4 marks; from a tenement of John Gisors on the corner of Bread Street in the parish of All Hallows Bread Street, 2 marks for a mass for his soul and his wife's; his executors are enjoined to give security for the quit rent; brother Alan, a canon, is to celebrate the mass; no one is to impede the canons.

1032. Will of Thomas de Algate proved and enrolled in the Husting of pleas of land, Mon. 14 Oct. 1359, in which Thomas rector of the church of Schering in the diocese of London, will made Sat. 2 Feb. 1359, left his body to be buried beside his father and mother in the church of Holy Trinity, a tenement in the parish of St. Katherine within Algate to his brother Nicholas prior of Holy Trinity and to the canons of Holy Trinity a quit rent of 6s. 8d. p.a. from a certain plot (placed) in the parish of St. Andrew Cornhill; also all his tenement in the parish of St. Botolph without Algate to the alms office (officio elemosinarie) of Holy Trinity for the perpetual increment [f. 194v] of the sustentation of the choir boys together with 10s. p.a. of quit rent from the same tenement which his father acquired of Simon le Hoodere, his mother previously had the tenement; also to Hugh son of the late John le Skynner £10 sterling payable to him after the completion of his apprenticeship if he survives and if he dies before the completion, the said £10 to Holy Trinity to pray for his and his parents' souls and for the souls of the testator's parents; the residue of all his goods movable and immovable to his brother Nicholas that he will do what shall seem fit for his soul and his parents' souls; John Hauekyn and John Crowhurst appointed executors and his brother is appointed supervisor.

1033. Will of Thomas Richer, chaplain, proved and enrolled in the Husting, Mon. 14 Mar. 1362, in which he, will made Wed. 13 Jan. 1361, left to the work of the fabric of Holy Trinity 20s.; to each canon 3s. 4d.; to John Richer his kinsman (cognato) 3s. 4d.; to Margery and Lorissa Richer, 13s. 4d.; to Mabel and Matilda Richer 40s.; and to the prior and convent of Holy Trinity all the tenement with a wharf and an empty plot adjacent in the parish of St. Mary at Hill (fn. 1) which he acquired from Robert Hwite, executor of John Warefeld by virtue of John's will; also to Holy Trinity all the lands and tenements which he acquired from Nicholas de Chikewell in the parish of Great Holy Trinity [f. 195]; also to Holy Trinity a certain tenement with a garden which he acquired from Margery widow of John Hoder, late citizen and skinner, and Joan the daughter of the said Margery in the parish of St. Botolph without Algate; also to the Friars Preachers of London 5s.; to the Friars of Mount Carmel 5s.; to the Friars Minor 5s.; to the Austin Friars 5s.; to the Crutched Friars 5s.; to Master John de Cantebregg 6s. 8d.; to William de Wardon 6s. 8d.; to Robert de Ramesdon 6s. 8d.; the residue for masses and to the poor of the hospitals of London and other necessitous persons dwelling in that city, the distribution to be where his executors think will be to the best advantage of the testator's soul; William de Wardon and Robert de Ramesdon appointed executors and Master John de Cantebregg to be supervisor.

1034. Will of Simon Hatfeld proved [and enrolled Mon. 17 Oct. 1373], (fn. 2) in which he left to Holy Trinity all that tenement which he acquired from Roger Rook called 'atte Basket' situated in the parish of St. Katherine in the cemetery of Holy Trinity viz. between the tenement of Richard Andrew formerly William Daniel on the east and that of the prior and convent, formerly of Thomas Bonesergant, on the west and extending in length from the street on the north to the garden of the late Stephen Waltham on the south, for the use of the sacristan for the repair and maintenance of the church, on condition that on the day of the testator's death and on each anniversary thereof the sub-prior shall say mass for his soul and on the same day[s] the sacristan shall give to each canon who ministers 6d. [f. 195v] and if the sacristan fails to pay, he wished the tenement to remain with the prior and convent to the augmentation of their treasury (camera) as a supplementation to each canon except the sacristan, but if the profit is converted to other uses then the whole tenement shall go to the chapel of the Guildhall on condition that the chaplain celebrates for his soul; also to Holy Trinity 20s. p.a. of quit rent which he acquired from John Baas and Emma his wife from a tenement of the said canons once of Walter in which Simon the Baker (Pistor) then lived in the parish of St. Katherine; also to Holy Trinity 12d. p.a. of quit rent which he acquired from Simon Hauerill from a tenement of the said religious in the parish of St. Botolph once of J. Bonsergant; also to Holy Trinity 11s. p.a. of quit rent acquired from Roger Segrave and William Norwysch, executors of Thomas de Marlee, clerk, from a tenement of the said religious in the parish of St. Botolph.

1035. Will of John de Cantebregg proved and enrolled in the Husting, Mon. 30 Nov. 1377, in which John, citizen and fishmonger, will made Sat. 9 Aug. [1376], left his body to be buried in St. Mary de Cricherch where Master John de Cantebregg his son and Elizabeth and Agnes his late wives lie buried; to Holy Trinity all the tenements which he acquired from Robert Denton, chaplain [f. 196] at Ebbegate in the parish of St. Lawrence Candlewyk Street together with the reversion of a certain tenement in the parish of St. Giles without Cripplegate which tenement Felicia wife of John de Waltham has and holds of him for the term of her life; also to Holy Trinity all the tenements which he once had of the gift and feoffment of William Baldewyne, citizen and saddler (cellarius), and Emmota his wife, situated in the parish of St. Katherine to hold to Holy Trinity after the death of Felicia on condition that they pray for his soul; also to his wife Katherine all that tenement which Henry Godchep and Agnes his wife holds for him for the term of their lives in survivorship in the parish of St. Sepulchre without Newgate called Bacunnysyn paying to him 5 marks and doing to the lord of the fee the service due and also his wife shall have the 5 marks after his death for the term of her life with the reversion after the death of Henry and Agnes; also to the abbot and convent of Burton, co. Staff., the tenement of Bacunnysyn after the death of Katherine his wife on condition that they pray for his soul; also to William Kelhull, citizen and fishmonger, and Agnes his wife or to the surviving one all that tenement with a great gate and cellar adjacent in the parish of St. Nicholas atte Coldabbey for the term of their lives in survivorship and after their death it shall remain to William son of Thomas Con(v)ers and his legitimate heirs doing to the lord of the fee the service due; [f. 196v] also all the tenements he acquired from Thomas Convers and Isabel his wife shall remain to the aforesaid William after the death of Thomas and Isabel except that half house which he bought of Agnes daughter of the late Roger de Ely otherwise called Agnes Rayham in the parish of Holy Trinity the Less which he bequeaths to Katherine his wife and if the aforesaid William [Convers] die without legitimate heirs, then all the tenements left to him shall be divided equally between the abbot and convent of Westminster, the prior and convent of Holy Trinity and St. Mary Overe in Suthwerk; also to St. Mary Overy to say 'placebo' and 'dirige' and celebrate mass on his anniversary, all that shop which he acquired from John Ecclesale, clerk, in the Goldsmithery (Aurifabria) in the parish of St. Matthew the Apostle in Friday Street between the shops of the prioress and convent of St. Helen on the east and west and extending at the rear along the king's street of Westchep on the north and the tenement of Alan de Conductu on the south, St. Mary Overy to perform the services due to the capital lord of the fee; Katherine his wife and John de Kynggeston his former apprentice appointed executors; witnesses Robert his chaplain, Thomas de Estwyk, citizen and fishmonger, John Leuere his apprentice, Henry de Middleton, clerk, and others.

1036. Note: that Thomas Convers was chamberlain (camerarius) to lord Bartholomew Borwasch and was therefore called Thomas Chaumbyr and his son William was apprentice to William Kelshull and therefore called William Kelshull and he lived in the parish of St. Michael Crokydlane in 12Hy.IV.

1037. Will of William Creswyk proved and enrolled in the Husting, Mon. 13 June 1407.
