Thys Indenture made the xxiiiith daye of Octobre the xxxiiith yere of the Raigne of our most dradde Soveraigne lorde kyng Henry the viiith by the grace of God kyng of Ingland Fraunce and Ireland defendor of the fayth and of the Churche of Ingland and also of Ireland in erthe Supreme hedde, Bytwene the Right honourable Thomas Archebysshop of Canterbury, Thomas Audeley lorde Audeley of Wallden and Chauncelor of Ingland, Edward Erle of Hertford, Edmund bysshop of London, Thomas bysshop of Westminster, Androwe lorde Wyndesor, William lorde Seint John, Wyllyam Roche knyght Mayor of the Citie of London, Raulf Sadler knyght, Richard Ryche knyght Chauncelor of the Augmentacion of the Revenues of the kynges highnes Crowne, Thomas Pope knyght, Roger Chamley knyght serjaunt at Lawe, Richard Pollard knyght, Edward Northe knyght and William Horwodde esquier the kynges Attorney generall Commyssioners deputeid by our sayd Soveraigne lorde for the execucion of the Secounde payment of the Subsydy grauntyd unto our sayd Soveraigne lorde in his graceis highe Court of parlyament holden at Westminster in the xxxii yere of his graceis Raigne within the Citie of London on the one partie, And Roger Taylor of the paryshe of Seint Butulphes goldsmyth, And John Maye of the paryshe of Seint Anne letherseller whom the sayd Commyssyoners have deputeid and nameid and by thes presentes do depute and name petycollectors for the same Secounde payment of the sayd Subsydy of the warde of Allderichegate within the sayd Citie of London on the other partye, Wytnessith that the same Roger Taylor and John Maye soo deputeyd and nameid petycollectors for the sayd warde of Allderichegate and Auctorysyd by thes presentes therunto shall Receave unto the kinges highnes use all suche Somes of money as in this extrete ben contayneid and specyfied as hereafter folowyth

All whiche Somes of money so by them Receaveid they shall Content and paye to Thomas Edgar, Guydo Crayford esquyers, John Wyseman gent, John Sturgyon Iremounger, John Scut merchaunt Taylor, Hughe Egleby gent, Thomas Broke merchaunt Taylor, and William Wodlyf mercer, highe Collectors of the same at suche dayes and placeis as the sayd highe Collectors shall appointe unto them Retayneing and Reserveing in ther handes of the sayd Somes by them soo Receaveid fower pence for every pounde, Whereof Twoo pence they shall have for ther labors, and the other Twoo pence they shall paye to the Commyssyoners of the same Accordeing to the Teanor purport and effect of the sayd Act of Subsydy, In witnes whereof to the one parte of thes Indentures Remayneing with the said petycollectors the sayd Commyssyoners have putt ther Seales, And to the other parte of the same Indentures Remayneing with the sayd Commyssyoners the sayd petycollectors have Sette ther Seales the daye and yere fyrst above writen.
