A messuage, land and rent (extent given), held of the king in chief by free socage, as of the king’s ancient demesnes, by service of 20s. yearly at the king’s exchequer by the hands of the sheriff; and a moiety of the manor held jointly with Joan his wife, who still survives, of Nicholas Fraunceys at fee farm, rendering ten marks yearly.
Thomas his son, aged 4 [or 14 (sic)] years and more, is his next heir.

Folkyngham. The castle and manor (extent given), including a plot of meadow called ‘le Dam.’
Hekyngton. The manor (extent given), including a marsh, and rents from certain men of Biker for pasture of beasts in the marsh, and from certain tenants of Burton.
All held of the king in chief, as parcel of the barony of Gaunt, which is in the king’s hand, by service of two knights’ fees.
John his son, aged 22 years and more, is his next heir.

Styueton, Lyndwode and Thoresway. The manors (extents given), with the knights’ fees and advowsons of churches to the same belonging, including a pasture in ‘le Hengcroft’ in Styueton, a pasture called ‘le Launde,’ and a custom of bondmen called ‘slaghtbon’ in Lyndwode, with the advowson of the church of the manor of Kaylesthorp and the fees pertaining to the same, together with the free court which was of Stephen de Bayocis in the city of Lincoln, held jointly with Alice his wife, who still survives, of the grant of King Edward II, to hold to the said Henry and Alice and the heirs of the body of the said Henry, with reversion to the king and his heirs. The said manors are held of the king in chief by knight’s service, but for how many fees is unknown.
John his son is his next heir after the death of the said Alice of the manors &c. aforesaid.

Barton. The manor (extent given), including a market every Monday, a fair on the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, and a ferry across the Humber, together with ‘le Haventol,’ which is worth 15l. yearly, held of the king in chief, as parcel of the barony of Gaunt, which is in the king’s hand, by service of a knight’s fee.
John his son, aged 22 years and more, is his next heir.

Whytewyk. The manor, with its members Shepesheved, Merkefeld, Wydington, Roteby, Neuton and Bocharston (extents given), held of the king in chief by service of a moiety of a knight’s fee, as of the right and inheritance of Alice his wife, who still survives.

Sempyngham. The advowson of the priory. The jury know not as to the taking of profit in the time of voidance.

Hekyngton. King Edward II presented Richard de Pottesgrave to the church at the time of the last vacancy, when the barony of Gaunt was in the king’s hand by the death of Gilbert de Gaunt, formerly lord of the said barony, by reason of the manor of Hekyngton. Who is the patron the jury know not.

Ovenhull. 40a. land and 13s. yearly rent held for her life of the inheritance of John de Cobeham, son and heir of Stephen de Cobeham, of the king in chief by service of finding for the king in every Welsh war, a horse price 5s., a sack price 6d., and a pin (broch’) price 1/2d., at the king’s charges, by fine levied in the court of King Edward II.
Alynton. The castle and manor (extent given) similarly held of the heir of Roger de Kyrkeby, a minor and in the wardship of the archbishop of Canterbury, by service of half a knight’s fee.
Prestone. 4l. yearly rent from certain tenants similarly held of the countess of Kent by service of a quarter of a knight’s fee.
Rundale. The manor (extent given) held for her life in dower, of the inheritance of the said John, of Roger de Northwode, knight, in gavelkind, by service of 29s. yearly to the said Roger, and rendering to the abbess of Fontevrault (de Fonte Evrardi) 40s. yearly, and to Edmund de Pakenham 5s. 6d. yearly.
Heygham. A grange, 46a. arable, and 2a. marsh, similarly held in dower of Robert de Insula, knight, by service of a third part of a quarter of a knight’s fee.
