Crodehou, Brattone and Alferdescote alias Alverdescote. The manors (extents given with names of tenants) held of the king in chief, as of the honour of Lanceveton, by service of 4 knights’ fees, and keeping one tower of the castle of Lanceveton in time of war.
Heghebray. The manor (extent given with names of tenants) held of Thomas de Chageford by service 1 1/2 knight’s fee.
Baldwin his son, aged 21 and more, is his next heir.

Weveryngge. A tenement held of the king in chief by service of finding him in every war of his in Wales a man, a horse price 5s., a sack and a skewer (brokkam) for 40 days only: John de Weveryngg and his partners hold the same of the said Robert, doing for him the aforesaid service to the king at their own charges, and rendering him 40s. yearly.
Robert his son, aged 9, is his next heir.

Boctone Monchanesy alias Bocthone Mochanesy. The manor (full extent given with names of tenants in gavelkind) held of the heirs of Sir William de Monte Caniso by service of 1/2 knight’s fee, rendering to them 20s. yearly and doing suit at their court at Gravesende every three weeks.

Hughham. The manor (extent given), including pasture for sheep on the hill at Chelewarthone, held of Alexander de Balliolo as of the barony of Chilleham by service of a knight’s fee, doing suit at his court of Kyngestone every three weeks, and rendering 10s. every twenty weeks for the guard of the castle of Dover.
Caldecote. 5a arable, 7a. pasture, and 1 1/2a. and a virgate of thicket, of gavelkind, pertaining to the manor aforesaid, held as abovesaid, rendering 6s. 3d. yearly, and doing suit at the said Alexander’s court of Cherlthone every three weeks.
[Hugham?] Tenants at free fee rendering 50s. 9d. yearly (full extent given with names of tenants, some of whom held portions of land called ‘waracres’).
Caldecote. Tenants in gavelkind rendering 22s. 11d. yearly (extent given with names of tenants).
Chiltone. Tenants rendering 29s. for sites of mills &c. (extent given with names of tenants), held of the master of the Maison Dieu, Dover, by service of …. 4d. yearly and doing suit at his court at Ryvere every three weeks.
Hope. A tenant rendering 5s. 6d. yearly for 31a. land held of Richard de Weylond as of the barony of Folkstane by service of 6d. yearly for a pair of gilt spurs; 16a. land of free fee held of the said Richard of the barony aforesaid by service of 1/40 knight’s fee, rendering 1lb. cummin yearly; and 8a. arable and 3a. pasture of gavelkind similarly held by service of 13d. yearly and 1lb. pepper at Christmas.
Dover. Tenants rendering 28s. 8d. yearly (extent given with names of tenants), including plots of land vacant per combustionem alienigenarum.

His daughters, Hawis the wife of Ralph le Botiler, aged 18, and Elizabeth, aged 13 at the feast of the Annunciation last, are his next heirs.
NORTHAMPTON. Inq. Tuesday after St. Vincent, 29 Edw. I.
Northampton. A manor (full extent given with names of free burgesses), including a messuage in Walbek by Northampton, held of the king in chief by burgage, rendering 15s. 4d. yearly to the reeve (prepositure) of the town of Northampton for the farm of the said town.

Knapethorp. The manor (full extent given with names of tenants), including 2 fishponds within the close and the patronage of the church, held of Roger de Somervile by service of a knight’s fee, doing suit at the court of Leycestre every three weeks.
His daughters, Hawis, aged 18 at the feast of St. Michael last, and Elizabeth, aged 14 on the feast of St. Cuthbert last, are his next heirs.

Donewelleshethe. Tenants rendering 3s. 6d. (extent given with names of tenants) pertaining to the manor aforesaid, held of the manor of Ospringe, by service of 16d. yearly.

Tuxford. A third part of a messuage &c. 120a. land, 14 1/2a. meadow, a third part of a water-mill, a toft, and 62s. 8d. (?) rents of free tenants, 8l. 2s. 10 1/4d. rents and works of customers, and 63s. 0 1/4d. rents and works of cottars (extents given with names of tenants).
All held of the king in chief by service of a third part of 1/2 knight’s fee; and there are rendered yearly to Richard de Sutton 66s. 8d., to the prior of Blyth (Blid’) 20s., to Richard de Normandvyle 10s., to Robert de Saundeby 2s., to John de Ripariis 2s., to the lord of Babbewrht 6s., to the prior of Munkebretton 8d., to the nuns of Wallendwell 6d., to John Primerol 1d., to Richard son of Henry 1/2d., and to Henry the clerk 1/2d.

WALES. Radenoure. The castle and borough (full extent given), including free foreign tenants (named), who each have to find a footman with a lance in time of war, and 52 Welsh free tenants de Montana de uno lecto, and 20 de alio lecto, and pleas &c. of the court and hundred.
HEREFORD. Kingeslone. The manor, a member of the castle of Radenoure (extent given with names of similar free tenants), and pleas &c. of court.
Erleslon. The hamlet, a member of the same castle (extent given).
All held of the king in chief by service of a third part of a barony.
She held no other lands &c. in Wales or Hereford.
Edmund de Mortuo Mari her son, aged 40 and more, is her next heir.
GLOUCESTER. Inq. 21 April, 29 Edw. I.
Aure. A moiety of the manor (extent given), including pastures called Warth and Halstude, and fisheries called Hamstal and Wodehende, held of the king in chief, by an exchange made between King Henry III and William le Mareschal uncle of the said Maud, for the manor of Bassingeburne, to hold as freely as the king formerly held the said moiety.

Neubury. 10s. assised rent yearly from Thomas le Tannur for a third part of a windmill, a third part of the pleas &c. of the court, and a sixth part of the toll of the market, all held, together with 9l. 3s. 3 1/2d. of assised rent which Hawis late the wife of William de Mortuo Mari holds in dower with reversion to Edmund de Mortuo Mari and his heirs, of the king in chief of the Marshalcy (Marescallia) by 1/4 knight’s fee.
She held nothing else in the county.

Bridgwater (Bruge Walteri). The castle together with a third part of the town (full extent given with names of burgesses and other tenants), held of the king in chief by service of 1/3 knight’s fee.
Odecumbe. Two parts of the town held of the king in chief pertaining to the (aforesaid) …… (by the service) abovesaid, which two parts she committed long before she died to one Thomas de Morf, (rendering) yearly to the said Maud and her heirs 6l. for all (services).
Mulverton. Two parts of the manor held of the king in chief …… by the service abovesaid, which long before she died she assigned to Hawis late the wife of William de Mortuo Mari …… of the gift of the same Maud on the day she died.
She held no other lands (in the county?).
