Bocton Alulph. The manor with its member Hechesden (extent given) including the pastures of Brademede and Stockmede, 5s. rent called
'leftheld.' arising from la Frithe, customs called heueshale and seuighale in 'dennis de Waldis,' and 'danger de Waldis' worth from St. Michael to St. Martin 2 marks, held, with Orsete, co. Essex, of the king in chief by service of 1 knight's fee of the escheat of the honour of Boulogne, doing suit at the court of Wyham, co. Essex, and rendering to the sick (infirmis) of Boulogne 20l. sterling, which they yearly receive from the rents of the manor of Bocton, whereof they have the charter of feoffment of the predecessors of the said Stephen.
The advowson of the church of Bocton pertains to the said manor.
Canterbury. A messuage jointly held by charter by the said Stephen and Maud his wife, who survives him.
Bocton. 14s. rent and 2½a. meadow similarly held.
He died on Thursday before St. Michael in the said year. His daughters, Idonea the wife of Thomas de Gattesden (alias de Gadisden), aged 31 at the feast of St. Bartholomew last, Joan the wife of Ralph de Otringden, aged 25 at the feast of the Nativity of St. John last, and Iseult, who will be 23 at the Purification, are his next heirs.
Essex. Inq. Saturday the morrow of St. Luke, 14 Edw. I.
Orsete township. A _ worth 6d. yearly, 120a. land, and 25s. rent of assize, held of the king in chief, service unspecified.
He died on Friday before St. Michael last as the jury believe. Heirs as above, viz.—Idonea the wife of Thomas de Gotesdenne, Joan the wife of Ralph de Oteringedene, knight, and Iseult who lives with her mother, the youngest of whom is 22 and more.
Kent. Extent, Saturday before SS. Simon and Jude, 14 Edw. I.
Kersonere. The hamlet (extent given) held of Sir John de Nortwode by service of ½ knight's fee, and 5s. for the guard of the castle of Dover; and the lord of the said hamlet pays yearly to a certain recluse named Mariun 33s. 4d. yearly whereof she has a charter of feoffment of the predecessor of the deceased, and to the abbot of St. Augustine's, Canterbury, 10s.
He died on Thursday before St. Michael. Heirs as above, aged 31, 25, and 23 at the feast of the Annunciation next.
Extent or summary of the above lands &c. and assignment of dower to Maud late the wife of the said Stephen (undated) viz.—the hamlet of Kersonere; a messuage, 60a. land, 40a. heath, and 8a. wood at Hechesdenn; and a third of the wood Bocton, and 113s. in rent, services and customs there.

And he held of the king in chief a certain serjeanty of sealing the king's writs (spigornalcie), which Oliver de Stanford sometime held, worth 24 marks yearly.
Crokham. The manor (extent given), held of the abbot of Radynges without service, except that the tenants of the manor shall do two suits yearly at the abbot's view of frankpledge.

Poynton. The manor (extent given), held of the daughter and heir of Henry de Lungchamp, deceased, who is espoused to a son of Walter de Pedewardin, name unknown, by service of 2 knights' fees.
Greyby. A messuage pertaining to the said manor, 57a. arable in demesne, 9a. meadow, ½ bovate land in villenage with 4 tofts, part held of John le Mareschal, lord of Aselakeby, part of the heirs of Lungchaump aforesaid, and part of Alan son of Brian, lord of Bykra, but how much of one or another is unknown. And there are rendered for sheriff's aid 15d., to the lords of Aselakeby 5s. 6½d., and to the lord of Byker 12d.

Writ of certiorari, 16 May, 15 Edw. I., on the petition of Isabel de Fortibus, countess of Albemarle, asserting that the wardship of the land and heir of the said Peter pertained to her by reason of her dower.
Lincoln. Inq. Wednesday the morrow of St. John the Baptist, 15 Edw. I.
The said Peter died in the king's homage by reason of the inheritance of William de Fortibus, sometime earl of Albemarle; but he died in fealty of the said countess of the manor of Cocdyk in Gedeneye, and of certain lands &c. in Quappelod and Holbech, together with other lands &c. in Holderness, co. York; which fee was assigned to the said countess in dower of the fees of the said earl sometime her husband; and the same Peter after the death of Giles de Goushull, his father, made relief to the countess by reason of the said lands for ⅓ knight's fee assigned to her in the said counties.
