Preb. dissolved and Ilfracombe substituted as preb. by act of parliament, 1545, as result of exch. between Sir Thomas Wriothesley and bp. of Salisbury (L. & P. xx ii no. 850 (6)). Wriothesley subsequently released preb. to the Crown (ibid. xxi i no. 1046). Heneage res. by proxy 17 March 1546 (D1/2/16 pt. ii f. 29).
