Holgate granted this preb. 5 March 1545 to Thomas Wriothesley, Lord Wriothesley and Chancellor of England; conf. by dean and chapter 2 Apr. (D/C Lease Reg. 1543-87 ff. 19-20v; L. & P. xx i no. 465 (2)). Peterson res. 5 May (Chanc. AB 4 f. 35), and Wriothesley surrendered preb. to the Crown 30 May (L. & P. xx i no. 832; cf. no. 1081 (24)).
