Abbreviations
The following abbreviations are given in lower case or in capitals as required.
Note. Dr. A. B. Emden's Biographical Register of the University of Oxford to 1500 has been followed for degrees. But some later medieval bishops' registers and chapter act books give the title of magister to B.A.s. This anomalous title appears in this edition of the Fasti. when there is manuscript authority for it.
