1. No evidence has been found for Richard Fox, said by Le Neve-Hardy to occur in 1485. He became bp. of Exeter in 1487, and this would fit well with the adm. of Henry Edyall to the preb. in that year. The compiler of the list of prebs. of St Decumans in Le Neve-Hardy seems to have used the bishops' registers and the Liber Ruber as his sources, and it is possible that this mention of Richard Fox occurs in the first five folios of Liber Ruber part 2, which are now missing (Cal. MSS. D. & C. Wells 11 101n).
