Additional registers of the bishops of St Davids were available when Edward Yardley, archdeacon of Cardigan 1739-1770, compiled Menevia Sacra. He used the registers of bp. Benedict Nicholls, 1417-1433, and Thomas Rodburn, 1433-1442 which are now completely lost, and additional parts of the register of Henry Chichele, 1407-1414 and of John Hiot his vicar general, of which now only fragments survive. These four registers have here been used from Menevia Sacra (Cambrian Archaeol. Assoc., 1927), with reference given to the folio numbers noted by archdeacon Yardley and the page in his printed work.
