I no. 252 p. 199) and 5 June 1163 (ibid. no. 255 p. 207); chapel of Horley appropriated to preb. by 1231 (Feet of Fines Oxon., ed. H. E. Salter (Oxfordshire Rec. Soc. xii) p. 89; cf. Rot. Church of Buckingham with Gawcott manor (Bucks.) belonged to bp. T.R.E. and 1086 (D.B. I 143a, 144a); church conf. as preb. by pope 28 Apr. 1139 (R.A.L. I no. 249), 6 Feb. 1146 (ibid. no. 252 p. 198) and 5 June 1163 (ibid. no. 255 p. 207); disputed with preb. Haydour 1236, adjudged to preb. Haydour 1239, conf. to this preb. 1245 (Reg. Innoc. IV no. 1517 = C.P.L. I 221; see above list 38).

Vicarage of Sutton, with chapels of Buckingham and Horley, ordained March 1277 (Rot. Gravesend pp. 254-5).

Church of St. Margaret, Pottergate, Lincoln, and property in Pottergate, held by David archdcn. of Buckingham, presum. as part of this preb. in 1150s; described as part of this preb. 1215 × 19 and c. 1220; and held by Matthew de Stratton, archdcn. of Buckingham and this preb., 1221 × 30; disputed by preb. Haydour 1236, settled by pope in favour of Haydour 1245 (see above list 38).

Elias son of Ranulph Flambard

Had royal conf. of augmentation of his preb. 1110 × 22, ? Dec. 1115, in succession to his father (Regesta II no. 1104). Also preb. of London, occ. 1132/3 (Fasti 1066-1300 I 77). Presum. to be identified with Elias can. who occ. in L.P. I, of ? c. 1132 (app. 2 no. 23).

C. 47 and 48), and c. 1150 × 1154 (E.Y.C. VI nos. 49, 50). First certain occ. as can. late 1150s (Danelaw Chs. no. 284, see app. 17; and all four charters of app. 19). Archdcn. of Buckingham by 14 Jan. 1182; last occ. 25 Aug. 1189 (list 12). No evidence, but perhaps this preb. as archdcn. (cf. his predecessor and successors).

Still this preb. 1249 × 68 (Cart. Dunstable no. 830).
