I 203d); conf. to cans. by pope 28 Apr. 1139 (R.A.L. I no. 249), and conf. as preb. by pope 6 Feb. 1146 (ibid. no. 252 p. 198) and 5 June 1163 (ibid. no. 255 p. 207). See also Rot. Hund. Papal prov. of a preb. in Lincoln 17 March 1297 (Reg. Bon. VIII no. 1735 = C.P.L. I 569). Not included in papal excomm. and depr. of Colonna family, 23 May (above). Claiming his preb. (? this preb.) 10 and 28 Dec. 1297 (Reg. Sutton VI 48, 62-3). Also preb. of York. This preb. said to be vacant 21 Nov. 1299, by d. in Lombardy of a Roman who held it (Chancery Warrants 1244-1326 (1927) p. 105). Nephew of cardinal James de Colonna, can. (list 60); cousin of John de Colonna, his predecessor in this preb., and of Odo de Colonna, can. (list 32).
